Nice hotel close to most touristic sites.

Pros: Location to most sites.
Cons: kettle and water bottles to be given for clients.
Location: Hotel situated in Sultanahmed whih is close to most sites such as Aya Sofia, Topkapy palace museum, blue Mosque...etc.
Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean hotel. Generous people for breakfast.

Hi, I am kashif from London I choose this hotel from trip adviser and I stayed 15 September to 18 September I really like the hotel and staff really kind and helpful and they book my tour as well they gave me many advice witch I really feel it's truly help to save my time and money and I must recommend to my all friends and I also want to stay again next time in tashkonak Hotel because I don't have any reason to try any other hotel it's really quit and nice and about location it's ideal because only 5 mints walk to sultan Ahmed mousq and Ayasofya if anyone try to find on Google Map they can see how close this hotel to all these famous historical places, I like to thanks Mr ismael, haan, and batuhan and other members of staff witch I forget the names they really helped me that why in only 3 days I seen the mostly main attraction points I like to thanks again

Do not stay, owner is extremely hostile !

Cons: Hospitality, owners are thuggish.
I don't always write reviews but for this stay I will have to make an exception. Our stay started off with the staff setting up the bosphorous cruise with a "rich buffet" and Turkish experience. The rich buffet consisted of one inch beef kabob that wasn't filling at all. Along with a side of mash potatoes which was very Turkish. At night there were flies in the room and the restroom. Breakfast was really bad, infact the breakfast at metropolis hostel was significantly better. For our way back to the airport we had arranged for shuttle through the hotel. They kept assuring us the shuttle was on its way to the hotel even though we were getting late. At one point the staff said "I hope the shuttle is on its way" at which point we knew they had cancelled the shuttle we immediately scheduled an Uber pick up which arrived in 5 mins. Packed all of our 10 suitcases in the Uber meanwhile the staff was following us to get 25 euros for the shuttle ride that didn't even arrive. We told the staff no we're not going to pay for this and the staff member imidiately started a confrontation and raised his voice in a very threatening manner. Since we were getting late we paid the 25 euro and got out of there. We got late to the airport but we caught the flight because the flight was delayed. This was by far the worst hotel experience ever and I would not recommend this. I will be contacting their manager soon to speak about this experience. Owner of this comment is definitely a great liar. They made reservations on Expedia for 1 double and 1 triple room for 2 nights from 9th-11th september. For 5 people and 7 suitcases, Atatürk requested a transfer from the airport. They accepted the transfer service for 25 euros. On the day of departure, they claimed that they stayed 4 nights in total for 2 rooms and that they had free transfer rights. We were gently explaining to them as we did to all our guests. They would have to make a reservation for at least 4 nights via the hotel's official website for free transfer. We have said that there is no free transfer for reservations made via Expedia or other online travel agencies. We even said that we did not give a free transfer for 2 nights even from our own page. But they did not want to understand. We asked for the airport welcome price of € 25. They said they would pay. In the meantime they called for another vehicle for the departure transfer. The car arrived, we loaded the suitcases, but they still did not pay the 25 €. We asked for 25€ again. They said they would not pay it this time. We told them they could not leave without paying and we started to lower their luggage. After that they paid 25€ and left from the hotel. This is all about it. We present you with your favor. Pros: Close to the St.Sofia
Good choice if you need to be close to the Old town. Small room, but with windows and good air con. Enough space for one person. personal is really helpful and nice.

Great staff good location.

Whilst the hotel is just a little bit tired the staff and location were 5 star. I arrived a little late, tired and sticky and the very first thing reception did was to send to the kitchen for a bottle of cold water and some tissues. Location was spot on for the sights and Kumpaki ( and area full of atmospheric restaurants ). AC and WiFi was spot on.
