Top Summers County Public Library Hotel Reviews
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Beckley East
8/10 Good
"Renovations are in progress, and they were sorely needed. I like that there is a refrigerator in the rooms, but unfortunately my froze the contents. There are no hair dryers, so bring your own. What is really needed is a shelf so that a lady does not have to put her cosmetics on the toilet back. The vanity space is lacking. I could not get a cup of coffee in my room on my second stay because the pod holder for the coffee was missing. Lastly, the brown bananas for breakfast were not appealing. Overall, it’s a convenient location, and the day clerk is pleasant, capable, and professional. Hopefully everything will be improved once the renovations are completed"
Dawson Inn
10/10 Excellent
"What a fabulous hidden gem! Our room was so clean and well appointed. Shared spaces were warm and inviting and clean. The beds were very comfortable, both of us had a great sleep. Breakfast was simple but very good. The true value is the incredible staff. They are amazing, helping with a dinner recommendation and late night TV troubles. We will definitely be staying here again!"
Skyline Lodge
8/10 Good
"The cleanliness of the hotel rooms could use a little work but not bad. The restaurant and staff were amazing."
The Guest House Inn on Courthouse Square
10/10 Excellent
"Top notch. Will stay again if we are in the area."
The Eloise: Greenbrier River Retreat + Tubes & Firepit
10/10 Excellent
"The Eloise is in a stunningly beautiful setting along the Greenbrier River with a fabulous host! Being right on the river offers excellent recreation opportunities including fishing, floating, rafting, and peaceful evenings on the deck. I consider the Greenbrier River the River of my Soul. The water has been running through my veins for 62 years. We’ve been out west for the past 31 years and coming back and staying right on the river at Eloise was a dream come true! The cabin was perfect. Great beds, good AC, nicely stocked kitchen, and a fabulous deck overlooking the river. We couldn’t have asked for a better time in a better place. Thank you, Brent!"
Quaint Cabin By The Creek Privat
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our quite stay and was very happy with the feel at home vibes love to hear the water sitting out side was so calmin. Enjoyed my birthday weekend so much. Would recommend to my friends for sure."
Tiny home overlooking the river with SPECTACULAR VIEWS and lots of extras!
10/10 Excellent
"This WV Tiny home is beautiful and completely one of a kind. I loved each hand-done detail and it has everything you need. This place is the naturalists dream, with very kind and easygoing people. We loved staying here and we would absolutely stay again. Thank you Karen!!"
Waterfront on the New RIver
10/10 Excellent
"Nice cottage with a beautiful view of the New River. Short drive to Sandstone Falls and downtown Hinton. House was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We were not able to use the fire pit due to weather, but the enclosed front porch was great for watching the storm and wildlife (osprey, deer, goldfinches, tiger swallowtail butterflies, rabbits). Overall a great rental!"
New River Gorge Riverview Home in Meadow Creek. 3 bedroom, 1 bath, fenced yard
10/10 Excellent
"Trains, River, and Mountain view with enough room for a five-person family, and updated cold air conditioning and kitchen. The location is nice for deploying by car across the New River Gorge region. In West Virginia fashion, expect 3-7 coal trains a night at the nearby double crossing. Their horns can be startling if you’re a light sleeper. Our kids didn’t mind at all and loved the trains. Even the Amtrak Cardinal line runs through 3x a week at 10:30 am. The owner instantly approved our request and provided good instructions for the stay. We loved the misty mountain view in the mornings from the front porch. It’s about a 100 yard walk to the New River, with boat access. Most of the time the area is very quiet and serene. This was our first trip to the New River Gorge, and I definitely think we’ll be back."
