This used to be a great place to stay. We've stayed here twice since October and both times we've been disappointed. Each stay has been a first floor, pet friendly room, for which we willingly paid extra. Property upkeep continues to decline. No shower curtain in bath during October visit. Broken shower rod, inoperable bath tub stopper, torn carpet (apparent pet damage), and extraordinary pet stains on carpet in room during December visit. Our grandchildren came over and the carpet was too dirty to allow them to play on the floor.
Other guests were complaining about the lack of cleanliness and disrepair of their rooms to front desk clerk during my check out on December 23rd. Clerk was courteous and seemed concerned. She took notes regarding complaints.
Did not eat the complimentary breakfast. Unsure of the kitchen cleanliness due to the condition of our room.
We visit this hotel 3 to 5 times per year. If it isn't returned to an acceptable state of cleanliness and properly maintained, we will find another nearby location to stay.
