Formerly a clean, affordable, pet friendly hotel.

Pros: Location, price and pet friendly.
Cons: General cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. Please take corrective measures before the property is too far gone!
Location: Nice selection of restaurants and shopping nearby. Many within walking distance.
This used to be a great place to stay. We've stayed here twice since October and both times we've been disappointed. Each stay has been a first floor, pet friendly room, for which we willingly paid extra. Property upkeep continues to decline. No shower curtain in bath during October visit. Broken shower rod, inoperable bath tub stopper, torn carpet (apparent pet damage), and extraordinary pet stains on carpet in room during December visit. Our grandchildren came over and the carpet was too dirty to allow them to play on the floor. Other guests were complaining about the lack of cleanliness and disrepair of their rooms to front desk clerk during my check out on December 23rd. Clerk was courteous and seemed concerned. She took notes regarding complaints. Did not eat the complimentary breakfast. Unsure of the kitchen cleanliness due to the condition of our room. We visit this hotel 3 to 5 times per year. If it isn't returned to an acceptable state of cleanliness and properly maintained, we will find another nearby location to stay.

Nice and Clean

Pros: convenient to the highway, shopping, restaurants and it is kept clean.
Cons: Better refridgerators, I had beer in there for two days and they were barely cool.
Location: On a warm day you can walk across the street to the shopping centers,restaurants (various types), Target, Walmart, Kohls, etc....
We stayed for 7 days, the staff was always friendly and helpful. They gave great suggestions on restaurants locally and in Charleston. They even gave us coupons for some of the restaurants from their personal "Attractions Coupon Book". We thought that was really nice of them to offer to do that, that was totally unexpected and a very nice surprise. The Housekeepers are friendly, fast and excellent, never had an issue with our room the entire time we were there.

Fine hotel for a stay

Staff was attentive and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. The only item we found irritating was hearing the heating/cooling system shutting on and off through the night. It disturbed sleep to an extent that we pulled the plug.

No hot water

Hot water heater broke down. Bed was very uncomfortable. Bad smell throughout the motel.

Everything was good except bed "frame" which was metal and larger than bed. Hit foot on it and took skin off the top of one toe.

Gave our room away and got a dump in substitution

Location: My family came for funeral and did not get to see the area very much.
The hotel gave our rooms away to a college soccer team. We had 2 suites with handicap accessible and got 2 regular rooms with no water pressure. We could not even take showers or wash our hands. We complained at front desk, but they had a no care attitude. The room downgrade was the right of the hotel per their procedures and room availability. Of course we got no compensation for being downgraded. We had one in a wheelchair that could not even get into the bathroom since is was not handicap accessible. Of course, the hotel stated they did not have to provide a room of that type even though we paid for it and confirmed twice to make sure we had accessible room for wheelchair. Even the manager had a no care attitude. They were just happy to have two floors filled with college soccer team and families and friends. There was a no care attitude for the rest of the guests. Several family members did not even there paid for rooms.

Nice Hotel Overall But Needs Attention To Detail

We've stayed here several times, but there are a few issues that should be addressed. This hotel has recently gone through complete renovation, and a beautiful job overall was done. We found some problems in our room that were disappointing. The shower rod holding the shower curtain was very loose and caused the curtain to not stay in place resulting in water all over the floor. Maybe that's why some ceilings are stained with water from the floor above. This is the second time this has happened to us (we've stayed here before in another room - same exact problem) The maintenance people need to go through each room and attach the rods in a more secure way. It's ridiculous the way these shower rods are so loose. We stayed here several months ago and the problem is still there!! The sink faucet had extremely low water pressure - just a tiny stream of water - not sure why but disappointing. I brought the problems to the attention to the staff when we were checking out, and they wrote down a work order to look into the problems. Why doesn't housekeeping or maintenance staff look for any problems like these and report to management and fix them before guests arrive so that paying guests aren't subjected to these inconveniences?? Every effort should be made to make sure the ROOMS are in excellent condition. Your guests pay for ROOMS to stay in, and you should MAKE THE ROOMS A PRIORITY that everything is in perfect working order. If you don't care, we can book elsewhere?

Location: Great getting on and off the interstate and plenty of great places to eat.
The Staff was very good at what they do. There's not much to say after that.

We stayed here while visiting our family daughter and grandson in summerville. it was ourBreakf it was our first stay at this it was our first to stay at this chain and we were pleased. Breakfast was always plentiful and on weekends served on China. We had tried to book a room for three people but Travelocity did not let us do that When we asked for a rollout they said they had none but put us into the executive suite at no additional cost. We had plenty of room.
