I won't be back

I don't know what I expected but the hotel is in disrepair, the door going outside from the stairwell was broken and unlocked all night, the TV didn't work, then when I got it working, there was no HBO or anything. It didn't matter, we were in town for a family funeral. The brand new guy at the desk said the hotel wasn't paid for (online reservations through Expedia) and asked for my debit card. Needless to say, I was charged twice. Then when they tried to fix it, they charged it again. Yep, as I type this, I am out 3x the amount for one night's stay. The poor guy at the desk was nice but the night manager, who was standing right beside him, should have taken over the transaction when I had the initial problem and told him it was already paid for. They even sent him up to fix the TV. I don't think he even had been given a tour of the hotel yet. I fixed it and chatted with him. I'm probably going to have to end up paying over $300 for one night's stay in a one star hotel. Chalk it up to being in a hurry. Unless you just need a bed and don't care much about security, go ahead and stay here. Oh, and bring a hair dryer. They don't even have those in the room and I booked the "suite".
