Location: Right in Sun Peaks resort, next to cafes, shops, restaurant and ski lifts. Just under an hour from Kamloops.
The hotel and staff are nice, the only slight negative is that the hotel is starting to show signs of its age with some wear and tear.

Great area, disappointing experience

Posted Aug 24, 2017
We love the village itself but did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. We were sent to underground parking which was a disaster - clutter everywhere, very difficult to turn around, and we couldn't get out! They failed to mention that to open the door we had to drive over a cord that was lying on the ground amidst the other clutter. We were completely unimpressed.

Near lots of fine restaurants and shops.

Pros: See above
Cons: See above
Location: Its about an hour north of Kamloops. Skiing is great. Lots of outdoor summer activities.
Had silverfish in the bathroom. The hotel is old and a little tattered.

Nice hotel if you want to be in Sun Peaks

Posted Jul 30, 2017
We were looking for an overnight stop on the way from Jasper to Vancouver island, and Sun Peaks seemed to fit the bill on the tiny map shown by the search provider. It's about 20 miles off the main road, and Sun Peaks is a fake mountain village. It's probably fine if you go for a few days skiing and are in the mood, but soulless in late July, and the "Summer Patio Party" just encourages the groups of mountain bikers to revel noisily into the small hours. The above seems grumpy, but there's nothing wrong with the hotel itself if Sun Peaks is the location you actually want. For us Kamloops would have saved 40+ miles of pointless winding road driving.

Nice place

The room was cozy and big for 2 of us. It comes with a small kitchenette, which is good for family and whenever one have craving for home cooked food. The counter staff was helpful with the questions we asked. Enjoyed our stay even though it was for 1 night.

Very affordable

Great place to stay since everything else in Kamloops was triple the price. Wish more of the shops were open as some were closed during our stay. Restaurants were ok...

Parking fees

Posted May 1, 2017
Pros: The location is awesome.
Cons: Look at the booking levels to determine if parking could be free during off season or shoulder season as it appeared to be a money grab.
When we checked in the whole town was very quiet as the ski hill was closed for the winter season. I know rooms like this are pretty beat up by skiers during the winter season so the room was a little dusty but basically clean but had a lack of warmth overall. I was really disappointed to have to pay $10 for parking when the hotel was empty. I mentioned this to the lady at front desk and the impression I got was that is just the way it is and there is no room for negotiation which I consider very unfortunate.

Pros: location and comfort
Cons: Our room did get pretty warm. We had the windows open most of the time and the fans running.
Location: at the base of the ski area, in the village.
Great staff, nice rooms, pet friendly, amazing location.
