Had a view of the marina. My daughter loved it. Good food in the hotel restaurant. The two disappointments were the broken ice cream machine and a broken hair dryer in the room.

Cool location. Nice view. Rooms definitely felt clean but very old. Could hear the conversation through the wall of our neighbors next to us, as well as them snoring at night. Outside property and pool area could’ve used some cleaning.

The property did not have breakfast as advertised. The lobby coffee was always cold as well. Staff were respectful but only activated one room key.

We do not serve a complimentary breakfast nor do we advertise that we do. We will address the issue of cold coffee and room key with our front desk staff. The beds are hard and sag in the middle. Black Mold in the bathroom corners. The mini fridge was so dirty i just couldn't bring myself to use it. The alarm clock next to the bed was broken. The floor was dirty in the room. I even found an entrance key from the past people on the floor in plain sight. They really need to remodel for god sake.

This place is so outdated. The beds are hard and sag in the middle. The refrigerator was so dirty i could not use it. The floor of my room was dirty. The alarm clock next to the bed did not work. There was black mold in the corners of the bathroom.......I could go on.

A fun stay on barkers island.
The room itself could use some upgrades . If your over 6ft tall the room will seem small but the view out the windows makes up for that . The lounge is roomy with good sevice and great view of the marina.

Very outdated, room was dirty (hair all over shower, floors had crumbs and dirt all over) Both back doors were broken. Someone could just easily walk in. Cleaning staff didn’t come once in the 2 days we stayed. Pool wasn’t heated so swimming wasn’t great. We won’t be returning in the future.

Nice rooms, good food, would go again
I had read some of the bad reviews, and was a bit nervous before my stay. While the room was dated, it wasnt super dated. The only thing I didn't like was the cleaner spray they must use to cover up old cigarettes smell. It was very strong. The restaurant had amazing food, a bit pricey but it was worth it.

Our room had a nice view of Lake Superior, and looked out right at the local airport, but that’s about all This property is just “getting by” on (what seems to be) previous ‘reputation,’ and location – it’s now run-down and dirty: there appeared to be mold in the bathroom; the heater/air conditioning unit has controls that the labels have completely worn off. The room seemed big enough, but the lights were very dated. We didn’t try the pool.

The staff at night were extremely rude and our room was dirty. I would not even shower in it. The hot tub was cold and so disgusting. And it was extremely loud at night.
