Pros: Price
Location: Rain Forest of Cathedral Grove are good place to visit
This is the most economical hotel of Port Alberni. I was originally planning to stay in Tofino/Ucluelet but hotel were almost THREE times more expensive for a family of 4. Port Alberni and this hotel are good alternative to stay for people visiting the area but are under a budget.

I am very disappointed with the service provided by the staff worked at the front desk. He was very impolite and his talking attitude was so impatience and mean.

Decent hotel, you get what you pay for.

keep in mind that there is a language barrier and cultural difference when you interact with the staff. The people at reception are very matter of fact. "what do you want" Yes it can be seen as rude but they are not actually being rude. I would say the only negative to the place is the aircon is a bit naff

Dirty, run down rooms in unsafe area of Surrey.

Posted Jul 25, 2017
Dirty sheets and pillows. Had to ask for new but the new were dirty too. Carpet on floor was dirty and sticky. TV didn't work. Half the lights didn't work. Rats all around outside. Staff was nice but couldn't do anything to help us. Unsafe area of Surrey. Drunk on front step upon our arrival. Not worth the cost of nearly $400 for 2 nights (taxes in). Not happy, very disappointed.

Very Dirty!

Posted Jul 11, 2017
Pros: Nothing
Rooms were pretty gross. Sinks dripped all night and fridge was very noisy. The one room had food left in fridge from last guest and smelled really bad.
