"Reasonable hotel for a short stay in Swansea"
The hotel is located near the city centre so shops, restaurants and transport is in easy reach. The hotel also provided free parking which was welcomed. The hotel has a small gym, a large swimming pool (compared to other hotels I've stayed at) and a sauna room. The rooms were clean but a bit cramped. What let this hotel down was that I had booked online specifying 2 adults and 1 child and expected a suitable (family) room. Unfortunately we were given on arrival was a room with 2 single beds and a folding bed (charged extra) for my child. Needles to say the folding bed was uncomfortable.

"A great place to stay"
Our daughter was moving into a university accommodation, so an overnight stay at the Marriott was necessary. We met a lovely couple from Liverpool at the Bar and the evening went very well. No doubt, we will be visiting Swansea again and stay at the Marriott. My husband went to the football on Saturday and his team were staying at the hotel, he was very happy.

"Much improved"
I stayed here as I was arriving by train late in the evening and only staying one night. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful. I had a spacious room, much better than when I stayed here before. There was noise in the corridors and music at 3am, probably from a nearby club, so not in the control of the hotel, but perhaps the soundproofing could be improved.

We arrived early and were allowed to check in. When we went to check out, we were able to leave our luggage while shopping, then collect it prior to walking to the nearby train station.

"Relaxing base for a Gower experience"
Good clean easy going hotel with an excellent breakfast served up by helpful eager to please Staff, rooms and cleanliness of bed & bathroom linen good. In over 50 years of staying in hotels I have not come across a poorer gym/swimming pool area, I suggest you fill in the hopelessly Small pool Ann refurbish the whole area to make a much larger gym/changing area. Hotels with A good gym is a basic finder mental of a good hotel chain in 2015.

"A place to stay as a good base to explore the area"
The hotel from the outside looks impressive, inside it is a little tired but it has a certain shabby charm. We stayed in a superior room on the first floor. The bed was large and extremely comfortable. The room was large enough but not huge. Every thing was working, which is always a plus! The most disappointing part was the very small bathroom and the 'rickety' shower. The shower itself sounds like it's on it's last legs and was quite disconcerting to use! The servicing of the room could have been a bit more meticulous, i.e. the replenishment of tissues, coffee. However on the plus side, the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The breakfast was not the greatest I have ever had, but neither was it inedible. We had a meal here on arrival and we were not disappointed, very tasty, well presented seafood. There are other choices on the menu if you are not into seafood. The hotel is excellent for exploring the local area, there are buses that go into Swansea. We tended to explore the area and beyond by car and stay locally in the evenings.
