Inn at Willow Grove in Orange, Va.

Posted Aug 1, 2017 on Hotels
This was the first time we had stayed at the Inn at Willow Grove and it was an awesome experience. We will be going back next year for two days and will be sure to tell friends about the service, location and excellent accommodations.

Pros: There is plenty to enjoy!
Cons: We needed coaching on how to use the shower!!
Location: Near Monticello and Montpelier.
This historic inn welcomed us from the moment we saw it! We were greeted with sparkling wine and walked to our cottage by our butler. The room was outstanding! We enjoyed a cozy sitting area with gas fireplace, outside patio, beautiful, large bathroom complete with soaking tub and heated towel rack. The bed was GREAT! The bedding was superior and the bed was extra comfy! We enjoyed a couple's massage in the tiny spa and dined in the inn's beautiful restaurant. The service and food was top notch! We ordered breakfast in bed the following morning. We could have stayed forever!

Pros: Very luxurious, yet comfortable and relaxing.
Cons: Shuttle service to the wineries would have been great. Service was amazing, yet limited only to inside of the Inn (no porter or waiters outside).
Location: Lots of great wineries nearby.
Simply an incredible experience. The 18th century plantation house and surrounding cottages maintain their historic look while modern touches have been made on the interiors (bathrooms, bar, restaurant, etc.). The staff are extremely friendly & helpful where you will know most of them by first name basis by the time you leave. Most of the clientele are older (50 ) and dress extremely well (I actually felt underdressed in a polo and shorts) but are friendly and conversant. Overall I loved it and looking forward to returning soon!

A nice lazy morning. Rained so just drove the site. Enjoyed the room. Did not like our meals in the Rest.

Amazing place. Beautiful in every way: grounds, rooms, bathrooms, restaurant, pub, and service. What a find. We have to go again, try a new room, stay longer. It was truly gorgeous and relaxing at the same time.

Long weekend mecca

Pros: first class amenities and services
Location: Great having a bucollic country scene instead of the usual cheek by jowl downtown location of a lot of inns.
Everythinjg was exquisite. Nothing destracted from our experience. Staff was spot on, made you want to return some day. Very comfortable bed, everything in room and bathroom top notch.
