Good location

Just in case policies are unacceptable

Checked in at 9.30 pm and out at 6.30 am. Why the need to take $100 off my credit card just in case? How many times were you really caught out to charge the unnecessary amount. I choose hotels that have some kev of trust for customers. Also - why the need to scan my license? Where does that go? Otherwise, hotel was clean and well located. It was noisy though.

In regard to the security deposit you are required to provide; I understand you arrived late and left early, however, this is a prerequisite for the majority of hotels worldwide. It is frozen for use in case of incidentals of any kind need to be charged on your account. I also understand your frustration regarding your identification. Nice hotel in the center of town.

Pros: In the center of town
Cons: Was fine with us
Location: In the middle of Sydney, within half an hour walk to Circular quay and 20 minutes walk to Paddy's Markets, many coffee shops and eateries.
Were surprised how quiet it was in the room at night while at a major crossing.

Short stay

And old room renovated Carpet looking like it needed a clean Comfortable bed Close to everything however no milk supplied for tea or coffee which was disappointing

Less suitable for business travellers

Pros: Central CBD
Cons: Maintenance; spare capacity, invoice printing
Location: Central CBD
Booked 2 nights in a Standard Room; those rooms have frosted windows (as per their advertisement) and are approx. 20m2 (ish); I checked in after 8pm; room wall heater, bathroom vent and shower drainage did not work; I called the front desk and the lady came up (with a blanket) to check the heating, however, she concluded I needed to use the portable heater; I requested to call in the maintenance person; this was rejected since the front desk lady was the only person at the hotel; my request to be moved to a different room was also rejected claiming all rooms were booked; free coffee was offered in the morning; the next day the hotel moved me to a different Standard room, which was fine; for some reason the hotel was reluctant to print my hotel invoice at the time of check out claiming I needed to speak to Wotif; overall: less suitable hotel for business travellers who want a seamless experience at the end of a long working day...

Disappointed

The room was dark and a bit dingy, the carpet was green old and horrible, the windows were frosted which only darkened the room more, the lights were not bright enough to light up the room and one wasn't even working and the other downlight was broken and half in the ceiling space, the towels smelt terrible like a mild kerosene. Had to park down the road to check in then moved the car because it was the wrong car park as this took 35 minutes it cost me $30 then a further $120 to stay the two nights. The bed wasn't comfortable a bit dissapointed the location was great and the staff were friendly.

Location: Everything is so handy!
