Convenient location close to Central Station, China Town, World Square, light rail. Loads of things within easy walking distance. Easy check in, friendly staff and very affordable. Basic facilities but for the price it's great

Lovely old building in between skyscrapers, under renovation so dusty but not yucky. Steps sucked with big cases, noisy street but very convenient to central train station, parks etc nearby. For price not too bad, pub below does good food too.

I been staying in this hostel serevel time there is no early check in the room only ready after 2 pm and there is no kitchen where you can cook your own how ever this hostel is clean and the staff very friendly always willing to help if you need help. I will stay again next time

It was in very poor condition. Hot, stuffy and smelly with no air con. The carpets were gross and sticky, shared bathroom not prepared to go barefoot in, room walls damaged and dirty. Mattresses were concave and beds off putting. Dingy and gross. I packed up my kids and left immediately and went to a beautiful hotel, only $40 more than this dive. The manager would not refund my money at the time, and Wotif could/would not give me a refund either. No, no, no!

The staff were great and I had no problems but the windows and carpet were quite dirty I thought. Otherwise, the beds were clean and comfortable and the showers and toilet were fine.

A great Hostel, a bit dated but clean. Right in the centre of Sydney, walking distance to everywhere, pubs, clubs, shopping ....brill Spitting distance to the Train station and 20 mins to the Airport. Friendly Staff .... NO LIFT but who cares. The only bad point is the guests have to keep the kitchen clean, some do some don't ...to all those who did not Shame on you..Deffo book again, not good for familys but good for backpackers and solo travelers a cheap night stay

Very Central to transport, restaurants etc however, very noisy at night.... noise stops about 6am! People smoking in the bathrooms and we were opposite.... stunk! Directly above a pub so loud music, people ,trams, buses ,sirens.... it's all happening! Cheap, clean and secure.

Location is good and beds aren’t uncomfortable. The bathrooms are clean and private (no one taking a shower at the same time in the same room). People are nice and can leave luggage before and after checkin/out. Bring a lock!!!

Superb hotel in great location
The local neighborhood has lots of Asian food and pubs and a Coles. It is a walkable distance to central train station even with luggage. The room was lovely and had coffee etc towels and toiletries. I highly recommend this place if you're in between trains and have to sleepover in Sydney.

I was extremely disappointed with this booking. My flight arrive into Sydney 5:30am. So I make a booking at this hotel which is near the Central Railway Station in Sydney. The intention is to get some rest and wash up before my meeting in the afternoon. Before my flight departure which is in the evening of my check in date, try to call this hotel many times but no one pickup the call. Only managed to leave a message that I will only arrive early morning the next day, hopefully my room can be reserved even though I already made full payment. Upon my arrival into Sydney early morning around 6am, there is no one manage the front desk but only phone number to call in case emergency and a board informed about the front desk operating hours. Try to call the number coupe of times and finally a lady picked up the call. I was told they will only arrive 9am. Despite my message the day before and call on arrival, the hotel staff don't make any effort in facilitate my check in. But only said the hotel do have operating hours for check-in ! No refund even you have given them notice that your arrival timing is out of their operating hours.

Really wonderful location but the karaoke bar next door, the freezing room, the rock solid bed, the feeble hot water stream in the shower, the wifi only on floor 1 in the communal room, and the lack of anything else, really dents its appeal. If you want central Sydney and you want a cheap hostel it's great. That's all. Friendly staff I must say thanks

The place totally has character. Bathrooms really clean. No air conditioning, only one fan for a room of 4 people that only covered one bed. Staff not overly helpful or friendly. Does the trick and affordable. Easy to get to and friendly people staying there. Many stairs; I only had a backpack but maybe check that if you are using a suitcase? Has a really feeling of safety and community.

Hotel policies not matched as advertising
Sydney Central Inn advertisers check in time is 9am, we choose the hotel due to the early arrival flight, we check in around 12, the receptionist insists we come back after 2pm despite I show the Expedia receipt with check in time clearly stated 9am! Another unmatched policy is method of charge, when I booked, I deliberately choose the price to be collected by hotel, as the booking is for a friend but when my friend prepares to pay, is told my credit card has been charged! Once again I show their policy stated on Expedia receipt, they refused to reverse the transaction, my friend is from France, his transfer to me as a cash advance rather than commodities transaction involving bank interests!

Given wrong advice re check-in time via email from Expedia. Was indicated 9 am. We arr. near 1:30pm very weary & she reluctantly gave us access before 2pm. Access to wifi only available on 1st. floor. Constant puddle of water on B.R. floor in women's on 2nd floor. Stairs were steep & we were on 2nd level. Bed was very comfortable.

Was a reasonable place for a really good price. It is clean. I had to buy a lock for myself to keep my things in a locker. Otherwise everything was fine.
