I had an enjoyable weekend in a great location. The hotel and staff were very good. I found some of the fittings in the room a little dated. I think the TV remote needed new batteries. I found the bed a bit hard for my liking, but I realise this is very much down to opinion. The swimming pool was lovely and the spa was great, although the whole area was showing signs of needing an update. All in all, a good stay.

Excellent and accommodating staff. Nice pool and sauna. Spacious room. Breakfast was good but not outstanding and dinner was very disappointing. It could have been good but the order was delivered wrongly, we had to wait a long time for the meal to arrive and and the bill was mistakenly overcharged. The mistake was corrected and the steak supplement cancelled but the damage was alreeady done.

Yes there are lots of issues I faced while I stayed in the hotel recently. Rooms not serviced till 3pm upon asking them to service and displaying the service my room tag means nothing. Concierge has issues understanding or communicating and have to refer me to one person or another. Bathroom vents were clogged. Quilt has lipstick marks all over so either problem with washing or something else. Breakfast menu had bacon which was uncooked and cold. 3 days in a row was chew and cold. There are lots of other things and you ask to speak to a manager they always say no one is available at present. I paid for over $1300 but to be honest I should I stayed with Radisson as I always do where I would have paid $1040 but I stayed with Amora thinking they might have better service but did not meet my expectations.

We arrived in Sydney at just after 6 AM, after a 20 hour flight. I had contacted the hotel in advance and wanted to know the best way to be able to get into our room as soon as we arrived at the hotel. The reservation department was very responsive in saying that since I would be arriving so early, I should schedule out visit to arrive a day and pre-check in. I was fine paying for the extra day, and was happy to have a clear and fast response. I contacted other top-rated hotels and only got a canned response that was not helpful. Check-in went very fast, and we were in our room within minutes of arrival. Luggage delivery and pickup was very fast and friendly. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and seemed to clean our room as soon as we went off exploring. Location of the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly when we left or returned to the hotel. I would stay here again, and I highly recommend it.

This is a lovely, classic hotel. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with many food choices available. Our only complaint with this hotel were the elevators . We waited for long periods of time; it seems that with six or more elevators, the service should have been more efficient. We thought that “Vien” at the front desk was so friendly and helpful; anytime we had a question, we went to her! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Amora.

For a first time visitor to Sydney this must be one of the most perfect spots to stay. When we arrived we were welcomed by the staff who all smiled and friendly. The room was huge, clean and tidy. Everything was in walking distance, the trams are just outside the hotel so even if you didn’t want to walk just a hop on and off! We would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions over the years and I did not on this occasion like the following; I was put in a disabled room, not at all comfortable unless I suspect you are disabled? Towels were small, scratchy and well past their serviceable life. Carpets are also overdue for some cleaning. I will give this property a miss for the next 12 months or so and stay elsewhere. It is a shame as it was once a very good hotel?

Great location. Doormen and concierge were very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed when I went to have a drink at the hotel bar after 11pm on a Saturday night to be turned away and told they were closed. My first night stay was disrupted by a flooding event where multiple levels were evacuated. Thankfully I wasn’t however I was disrupted throughout the night with announcements meaning it was well into the early hours of the morning before I could get to sleep and the next day unable to use the elevators to leave the hotel. I had to walk 20 flights of stairs to get to reception. For the rest of my stay there were only two out of six elevators working. My biggest complaint is that there was no acknowledgement of the inconvenience or disruption to my stay by the hotel. A simple gesture of a voucher to get a drink at the bar or complimentary breakfast would have gone a long way. Upon checkout I wasn’t even asked if I enjoyed my stay, this is a standard question I have been asked upon checkout worldwide. Very disappointing service from the reception and also to not acknowledge the inconvenience and disruption to my stay due to the flooding event.

Very very disappointing. This used to be a 5 star property but now rates at 3 stars at best. Room furnishings badly dated and worn. Old unpleasant carpet. Last generation TV and electronics. No work desk or workspace. Bathrooms spacious but badly dated with old fittings and dirty grout. Lobby and public areas very sad and dated Restaurant food very second rate and poorly trained staff. Needs $50 million spent on it and much better management to come close to justifying the rates. Won't be staying here again

The property was very clean and in a good location. However, the bed was a little firm and the water in the shower was not hot. The buffet breakfast was not good value, the danish were not replenished by staff nor was the milk for serial.

Hotel was great and clean, staff were lovely and very accommodating. I suffer from a bad back and felt the bed was too hard so reception provided me with extra mattress toppers when I asked. The hotel is close to the train station, bus stops and lots of shops and restaurants. Also within walking distance to Darling Harbour and Opera House (approx 15 minute walks) We enjoyed our stay and would book this hotel again.
