Nice hotel, thought it might be noisy on the street side, but was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Great locality, very convenient to almost everything if you want to walk, train or bus.

Clean rooms

Posted Aug 4, 2015
There was a distinct food odour in the foyer all the way up to the first floor. Just made it smell stale & dirty, even though our room was clean. The staff had very minimal contact or interaction with guests. It is a great location & very affordable.

A great surprise. Well worth another stay

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: when I come to Sydney all I require is a clean comfortable room, a good shower and a convenient location. The Best Western Stellar has it all
Cons: what can I say.
I arrived at 8am having travelled overnight. The staff were very accommodating and let me have the room early,(room number 403), without additional charge. Good PR here. The room was a real delight with a large bathroom, spacious bed/living area with desk, separate table and 2 chairs, day lounge and a really nice bed that was set at a good height - many hotels have beds that are too low. The kitchenette was a good size and the crockery unblemished and matching. The cleanliness of the complete room was excellent - my compliments to the cleaning staff. Natural light was a plus with big windows to let the light in and the block out curtains were very effective. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. There was an iron and ironing board and a safe too. Totally satisfactory. The room had a view to Hyde Park and there is a convenience store next door. Location is good being walking distance to Central, Museum and Townhall rail stations. Hyde Park is good for exercise.Security is good with card access at night.

We had an amazing stay. Everything was perfect. The staff were lovely, the location was really close to the train station, and the room was very comfortable and live able.

Room away from home

Posted Jun 1, 2015 on Wotif
Pros: Had an open feel for a hotel room. Had a kitchenette also that made the stay even more like a home visit.
Cons: Parking was not as readily available as some other hotels though it was enough to have the car near by any way.
Location: Location was close to the delights of the city. It was also close enough to walk to central station to get access to any other suburbs
This place allowed me to stay in the city for a generous price. It gave me a very short stroll to hang out in the beautiful Hyde Park and a similar distance to walk to some lovely restaurants of an evening. For a stay in the city for a work conference I will definitely book here again!

Fantastic getaway

Pros: Everything. The friendly staff and the shower were most notable.
Cons: Slow time down so our stay could have longer, lol. Seriously I can't think of anything.
We have stayed in many of the hotels in the Sydney CBD and we found this to be the best so far. Room rate was reasonable considering you are in the heart of the city. We were pleasantly surprised when a member of staff opened the door for us upon arrival and welcomed us. Every time we past reception the staff would greet us with warm smiles. The staff were more than happy to make sure we had everything we needed, including delivering salt and pepper to our room. The room was spotless and ample for two people. The shower was by far the best one we have come across yet. I can't explain just how fantastic it is to have a decent shower in a hotel room. If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Sydney I strongly recommend the Hotel Stellar. You won't be disappointed.

Excellent hotel!

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: It's just around the corner from the Museum train station which is on the line to the airport.
Location: We walked to a great Thai restaurant for dinner, and walked back from Circular Quay after our ferry to Manly.
We chose this hotel as it's close to downtown, and reasonably priced. It was a bonus to have the cafe on the main floor - we enjoyed a delicous breakfast there.
