It was very handy to most things but was a little tired. Certainly the bathroom could be upgraded. Bed was very comfortable.

Located near the bay, ibis Sydney Darling Harbour is in Sydney's Darling Harbour neighborhood, an area with great airport proximity. Sydney Tower and Sydney Opera House are notable landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Circular Quay and Overseas Passenger Terminal. Looking to enjoy an event or a game? See what's going on at Sydney Cricket Ground or Qudos Bank Arena.
Fantastic price for a last minute booking. Our room was upgraded which was fantastic however overall the stay was overshadowed unfortunately by staff inexperience. We were initially charged for breakfast which had been originally included in the price, and staff members were not aware of the 'grab and go' system, directing my enquiries to the bar. Happy hour at the in hi ouse bar had a great veiw and vibe (facility to choose music) however the 2 x staff in the bar advised they did not usually work in that area and so were unsure about simple things like how to pour a tap beer. I ordered a cocktail (almost $20 - it was my birthday) however the staff member in the bar didn't know how to make it, followed printed instructions and advised she couldn't locate some of the ingredients and hoped this would be ok. Ordering/receiving drinks took approx 25 mins for a beer/wine combination as many people ordered beer and the staff member in the bar did not know how to pour - a second staff members return was awaited. I completely understand the need to train new staff and that service in specific areas is something that is learned, however for a friday afternoon/night check in and afternoon crowd this was disappointing- so much so we left to go to another venue. Room was fantastic, facilities clean but our stay was sadly overshadowed by the hospitality and money wasted on alcohol.
