Good Location.Walking distance to major attractio

Posted Dec 9, 2016
Pros: Location
Location: Located along darlinghurst road. 3 minutes walk to the train (Kings Cross Station) and 2 mins walk to the bus stop.
We had no plug adaptor and asked whether the hotel could lend us but staff said they don't have. So we had to buy from a convenience store. Rooms get made up even without us requesting for it (hanging the 'please make up room' card by the door knob), not sure if it was a good or bad thing. Make sure to tidy up your personal belongings and keep your valuables in the safe box cause the housekeeping makes up the room everyday (even when you don't ask for it). You don't want your documents and underwear on the floor when the housekeeping comes in. :)

Dear Ken We have replenished our adaptor stocks so this should not occur again. In relation to rooms being service by housekeeping daily, this occurs unless you hang a Do Not Disturb sign on your door handle. We clean all rooms very day unless requested otherwise, and our team show the utmost respect and discretion when dealing with guests. Best Regards Michael Sheridan

Pros: Great vicinity. everything at your door step. Had some great meals while in the neighbourhood. Everything in walking distance.
Cons: The service. Staff could try smiling, and mean it, once in a while....
Location: As per above. Everything in walking distance. Highlight was Eat Thai (try the Thai beef salad!!) and Almond Bar. I went there twice in 5 days!
You cannot beat the location of this property. So close to everything including a train line. Just so handy. The refurb is coming along nicely but they started drilling/ hammering/ banging quite early in the morning. They should announce that the property is undergoing a refurb before you book. I was told I would have VIP ammenities/ services. No idea what that was supposed to entail but I didn't receive any information. In fact, I was lucky to get a smile on the way out the door. The gentlemen that looked after me on checkout was gracious, upbeat and genuine. The only employee I encountered with a smile my entire 5 day stay. Rooms a big and clean and a very pleasant bathroom. I spent 5 days ironing on a towel to find the ironing board in the most obscure bottom draw on my last night... :P Nice big TVs, wiƒi radio, free wiƒi, massive king size bed, free magazines in the lobby in the morning (although the staff give you dirty looks when you take the FREE magazines....??), blockout blinds for a good night/morning sleep. Would stay again if I could tolerate being treated like I am not welcome...

Larmont hotel

Posted Nov 9, 2016
The hotel was fine, a little noisy being in a main road, -and lots of construction still going on. Photos on the website showed the courtyard room with furniture and plants.. so we paid more for the courtyard room.. only it had no furniture, no plants, - apparently they were still coming.... so nowhere to sit down so in reality the courtyard was not useable... but disappointing.

Dear Vicki We have ordered plants and furniture for the courtyard rooms and suites, which should be with us in the next two weeks. We planned to have these items installed prior to the rooms being returned however our builders have proved to be far too efficient and returned the rooms much earlier than expected. We have added some temporary furniture as an interim measure for the comfort of our guests. Best regards Michael Sheridan

Location

Posted Nov 2, 2016
Pros: The beds were comfy and the ipad was a nice touch, nice view. The staff were nice.
Cons: For a 4-5 star hotel I would expect a refrigerator, and microwave to be available. More channels, free wifi, thicker walls lol
Location: There are stores, restaurants, clubs around the corner. The hotel is near a bus stop and train station. Can walk easily to town
The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. They allowed early check-in which was very appreciative. Overall the room was nice but the cabinet to the minibar was broke and no one seemed concern to fix it even though I was there a week and left the door open. The walls are pretty thin so I was able to hear all the fighting the people next door were yelling about. The hotel was having renovations, which managed to be disruptive each morning with the banging, making it hard to sleep.

Dear L, Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the beds, our new bedding took a long time to select and we are very happy with the feedback we are receiving from our guests. In the very near future, we will be installing APPLE TV into every room, delivering many more channels for our guests. I am pleased to confirm our refurbishment works will be completed at the end of the month, please let me know when you are returning to Sydney and I will make sure you are very well looked after. Best regards Michael Sheridan

Dear Marco Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the local are and the hotel. Our refurbishment is almost complete, which will deliver an excellent boutique hotel at the end of the month when finished. We are also reopening the restaurant next month with exciting new menus. We are addressing bathroom access with the refurbishment, which will hopefully be to your satisfaction. Best regards Michael Sheridan

Pros: Location, beddings, staff...
Cons: Lighting, more electric outlets for our electronics.
Location: Cafes and restaurants, walk to train station and can go anywhere, If you don't mind walking, go to St Mary's Cathedral, Hyde Park, etc
After our long flight from USA, we were so happy to check-in early, thank you' We had a great time exploring as the hotel is close to the train station, the best Coffee places around and easy to walk everywhere! The only negative was the construction noise in the daytime, which didn't really

Hotel rooms are not worth the money. Rooms are dirty with old broken furniture, dirty carpets, rusted kettle, smelly iron table, falling ceiling plaster and dirty toilet tiles. Seems like hotel is under renovation, might get better.

Hi Anonymous, We're sorry to hear about your experience, but you are indeed correct in saying we are undergoing a soft refurbishment. We already have two level completed, and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. We hope you will come back and try one out. Kind regards, JF Front Office Manager
