Great value for money! Great location with beach

Posted Dec 27, 2016
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Single bed and pullout couch bed were very uncomfortable but everything else was fine.
Location: Great location. Fantastic Mexican restaurant further up the road and a good coffee shop just across the road. Easy access to Ferry
Was looking for something for a family of four (with teenagers) that was close to beach and affordable. Manly Beachside was great. Ideal location and clean and tidy. Great kitchenette with microwave and fridge so we could have breakfast each morning. Pull out bed was very uncomfortable for teenage son - not that it got him out of bed any earlier in the morning!! Overall had a wonderful time in Manly and found some great places to eat.

What a dump!!

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: Nothing but the proximity to Manly
Cons: Everything but the proximity to Manly
A total dump, dreadful access, horrible room, crap furniture. Avoid at all costs unless you like the 1980's ..

Fake photos

Posted Oct 27, 2016
Pros: nothing
Cons: Please change the photos and set as is the hotel. It is not good to misleading advertising
Location: manly is perfect and amazing
I had to leave the hotel bedrooms in precarious conditions. what they offer as photos of this hotel are not real. I never recommend this hotel.

Close to shops & Ferry and 1 block to beach.

Posted May 25, 2016
Pros: Close to everything and secure
Cons: It needs a lift, but I don't think it is possible.
Location: Good location about a block to beach pubs, restaurants.
The place was clean and comfortable, the bathroom needs renovation. The hotel is in the process of renovation, which was no inconvenience to me. I needed to ask for another blanket. For the price it was good and convenient to everything. It has about 36 stairs and no lift.

Good budget accommodation close to beach.

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: Close to beach. Quiet and reasonably priced.
Location: Manly has everything there. Nightlife, beach, musuems and snorkelling. Also Sydney is only a ferry ride away.
Read reviews and decided to go ahead with booking although had reservations. Most of the negatives wouldn't bother us such as parking (we came by ferry), key at another location (only around the corner) and lots of stairs (no big deal for us as we're used to walking). People complained about cleanliness and uncomfortable bed. We did not find this to be the case. The room was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable. It is budget accommodation not luxury. If you want better facilities and comfort you have to pay for it!

Basic no frills apartment

Posted Mar 9, 2015
This is a bare minimum apartment. It has a hostel feel to it. Rather dreary but it was fine for one night. Good choice if you are in a budget. A set of dishes, microwave, mini-fridge and kettle were provided. Not many towels.

Not a nice place to stay

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Nothing to like glad to leave
Cons: All of the above plus clean towels every day FIX LIGHT PUT IN HOOKS SUPPLY MILK HAVE A CLOCK RADIO
Location: Location was good near beach and shopping
Forty stairs to climb, no place to park your car, no air conditioning, no hand towels, no light in kitchen, View out window is top of other buildings, no clock or radio, no hooks or anywhere to hang your towels or clothes. Television was small no milk in fridge.

Well past its best

Posted May 5, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Room 3 could be renovated
Location: Great location resturants bars and beaches were awesome.
Not a great experience at all. 37 broken steps to negotiate to get to first level no lifts. Room didn't smell real good, no fly screens on windows, wardrobe doors falling off, cupboard door missing , carpets needed replacing years ago .plasterers tape exposed next to bed. Room 3 bears absolutely no resemblance to the pics advertised on Expedia. $10 more elsewhere and got pure luxury in comparison. If you want a room on the Cross try the Bayswater fantastic.

Close to everything.

Had to climb two flights of stairs to get to room, if you use white linen it must be clean and unstained and use furniture that isnt broken. The whole experience of staying at this accomadation was unpleasant and we wouldnt use it again.

Not good.

Posted Mar 20, 2014
Really bad room, in a horrible building. This place is way overpriced for what it is. The only good thing about it is the location - 150 metres from the beach. Woken up at 6am by fitness classes directly below.
