Good aparthotel in the CBD
Posted Feb 12, 2017
I have stayed here twice in the last 6 weeks and had a decent experience both times. The suites are of good size, and are nicely laid out. There are 2 steps down from the bedroom to the kitchen, so that could be an issue for some.
The kitchen is serviceable - stove, microwave, dishwasher, and a good sized 'fridge, although this is mostly full of wine, beer and other drinks for purchase. Basic pots and a frying pan are supplied, along with dishes, mugs, glasses, and utensils. There is also a safe, although it is not big enough for a laptop, it will easily handle tablets and the like.
If you like to make your own coffee, you are out of luck unless you bring a press - there is an electric kettle and instant coffee/tea supplied. If you are planning on cooking, there are a couple of grocery stores within a 2-3 minute walk. It is also well placed for restaurants and nightlife.
The biggest issue with the suites that I experienced is that there is no secondary lock - no deadbolt or chain that can be engaged from the inside to prevent unwanted entry by someone with a key. While the staff does seem to honour the "Do not disturb" signs, on my first visit the check-in staff inadvertently gave another guest my room - needless to say I was happy to have been awake and fully clothed when he walked in.
Other than the lock issue and some noise from the ever-present tram-line construction on George Street, I would recommend it.

Hi Andrea. Thank you for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed the facilities in our serviced apartments. Guest privacy and security is always our number priority so will be sure to put your suggestion forward in regards to the internal locks. Looking forward to welcoming you back again soon.
