Missing items after room make up.

Despite bringing to the hotel front desk and house keeping attention of our 3 luggage protective covers and also a YSL lipstick went missing after our room make up on our first day with the hotel, no actions has been taken even by the forth day we left. We were very disappointed and skeptical with the housekeeping integrity. For the remaining 3 days, we have to lock all our items in our luggages to prevent any further missing items. A hell lot of works to do every morning before going out....

Overrated

Star rating doesn't match the reality. No hot water on first day, poor lighting and a general dirty feeling to the rooms.

Slipping Standards

Pros: Location, staff, price
Cons: The cleanliness of the rooms need immediate attention. We won't be staying here again until we can be assured that this has been prioritised
Location: Central Station - hub of Sydney's transportation system, CBD, China Town, Powerhouse Museum, Surry Hills eateries, Glebe shops and eateries
I have regularly stayed at this hotel over many years. However, after our recent stay there we are rethinking my loyalty. The mattresses were uncomfortably hard, the bathroom was only superficially clean, and there was so much dust that my partner suffered a sinus attack (keeping us all awake) which was not evident upon check-in and disappeared a few hours after check-out.

Locations great. All else needs some improvement

Pros: Location. Breakfast buffet OK. Restaurant reasonably priced good food. Gym
Cons: New carpets in the rooms. Better internet. Power points close to bed. Not much cupboard space if two people and staying a few days.
Location: Walking distance to Darling Harbour, UTS. Great public transport.
Rooms have old and dirty looking carpets. Internet is terrible. Paying either 10 or 15 per day does not matter. Dropbox cannot connect due to "insecure connection". There are no power points next to nightside table. Gym and pool are OK.

We arrived early in the morning due to an 6am flight and when we went to the front desk, they allowed us to check into our room very early - straight away. As soon as we arrived, we were in our room instead of having to wait till 2pm for their normal check in times. They were always accommodating and willing to help out.

We got a promotional deal for our two-night stay, wanting to have convenience from airport and to city, above other touristy considerations. Not a bad hotel (depends on what your room rate is!) but rooms are basic with no dresser for the lady. Hotel carpets are tired, as is much about the establishment. Just about does it though.

Pros: Friendly staff . Great location . Spacious room .
Cons: The rooftop pool was lovely , although it could have been a little bit warmer . Wi Fi , in a hotel like this should be free .
Location: Very conveniently located near Central Station . Chinatown is also not far away .
I was most pleased with my stay . The staff were friendly and the room was very spacious and comfortable . The rooftop pool was lovely , although it could have been a little bit warmer . I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast . The shower had a flimsy glass partition that did not properly stop water from spilling from the bath . I was also surprised that we had to pay for wi fi . But overall I recommend The Mercure

Mercure Hotel Sydney (Chippendale) Wir haben die Rechnung im Vorraus bezahlt über Expedia. Ohne das zu berücksichtigen haben sie unsere Kreditkarte ohne Erlaubnis belastet. Als wir das monierten sagten sie es handele sich um ein Security Deposit. Als wir uns 3 Tage später beim cashier beschwerten sagte er wir sollten ihm eine Email schicken er könne uns nicht helfen obwohl wir ihm die Belastung auf dem Handy gezeigt haben. Er könne nichts tun. Sie waren zynisch und sehr unfreundlich, sehr schlechtes Verhalten dem Gast gegenüber, auch von KRISTY MOWLE (Assistant Manager) !!! Am Ende haben Sie uns den Betrag zurückgebucht. Nie wieder. ...

Charging for wifi is negative point of this hotel After got approval to check out late,by 11 am unable to ooen door as it was locked.then have to call re eption to open our room.dissappointing.
