For a Mercure in such a location I simply expected a little more. The room was satisfactory but the TV and Remote were cumbersome and dated (not updated in god knows how long) and the bed (not updated in the same period) not comfortable.

I do advise that we are in the process of upgrading many areas of the hotel and this includes replacing our beds over the coming months. Great staff easy check in clean room got in late no dramas at front desk room was nice and dark for a sleep in the next morning will be back for sure

No Wifi

Pros: The pool!
Cons: Modernise the rooms, take out the internet plug in cords and renovate the bathrooms to be more modern, take out the shower over the bath.
Location: Good location to the train station, bad location for restaurant and other Sydney attractions, minimum 30 minute walk to get to the tourist attractions
The hotel was clean and the room was nice. Room service took an hour versus the 40 minutes quoted which was disappointing. I had a room near the lift so I was woken by the breakfast trolley each morning which was disappointing. The hotel was quite a distance from the nearest restaurants and other eateries which I was unable to see on the research I did about the hotel.

Good hotel close to Central station

The staff was very helpful and personable. The room was comfortable and clean but reserve your pillows early as I could not get the kind I wanted, when I called in the evening to ask for it. Great location if you want to be close to Central station, as well as shopping, entertainment, etc.

Nice hotel, great location, close to transport

Cons: pool water was a bit cold, couldnt get in with my young child.

Pros: Location, Staff and our room was very comfortable.
Cons: No comments
Location: We travelled to the wharf theatre precinct easily and managed some additional sight seeing to Circular Quay & Darling Harbour. Central Station shops.
We had a mid week stay in Sydney for a recent festival and the Mercure was the perfect place to stay. The short walk to Central Station meant that we could return to the hotel during the day and still attend all our events on time in the evenings.

Great location. Went to see Bodyguard the musical.

Pros: Location. Clean. Comfortable
Cons: Little concerned how the shower recess over the bath. No rail to help. Felt quite unsafe getting in and during shower. Quite slippery in the bath.
Location: What we didn't walk too we caught an uber , very economical. Everything pretty close, walking distance, but my daughter struggles to walk at present.
My daughter and I had a great time. Great location staff were very helpful. Loads of fun. Thankyou.

The hotel is ideally located- by the central train and bus stations. We were disappointed because we were first given a room above the "smoking floor" and the smell was quite strong. There is no way we could have slept in that room. We were told that someone would "spray" the room for the smell to vanish. I was disappointed that we were not offered a different room right away; that was our expectation. We insisted to change and the receptionist did help out to move us to a smoke-free room...Thank you for that. ( and by the way, someone did spray while we were in the process of changing rooms and the smell is as bad as the smoke).
