Good for public transport, high environmental load

Our room was spacious, with a balcony that we didn't use because it was dirty and because neighbouring traffic and air conditioners make it so noisy. Cleaners neatened everything up daily. Room sleeps 4 but there are cups and glasses only for 2. Good desk space to work in-room but no quiet business centre outside the room.
Bathroom just big enough but nowhere to hang laundry or wet towels from, so think ahead if you want to use the pool or care about sustainability.
The pool is a good depth for splashing and lounging but not long enough to swim in. Even in hot February temperatures it was heated. And cloudy white. Pool showers grubby.
Rooms have good air conditioning until it occasionally switches to heating. Reception knew about it but had no solution. We woke up really hot a few nights because the air conditioning had switched into heating mode.
Overall the room was fairly quiet but the walls and door are not thick enough to block loud people in the hallways, nor those who make an endurance sport of clearing their sinuses in their rooms. Lots of mucus-athletes with shouting children stay at this hotel. Some sniff, snort and hoick non-stop into full-blast running water for as long as half an hour.
A lot of people leave room service trays in a mess on the corridor floors, where they don't get picked up until the afternoon.
Well connected to Central Station south concourse, Railway Square bus hub, and Darling Harbour via the Goods Line pedestrian walk.
