Enjoyed our overnight stay at Oaksborough

Posted Jun 9, 2017
We booked 2 studio apartments for 4 of us for an overnight stay prior to boarding our Cruise from the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Key. The apartments were very clean, modern and comfortable. There is a cafe next door and the Harbourside Mall is across the road. Taxi's were usually outside of the apartment and it was only a short ride into the CBD and to the Cruise Terminal. Staff were extremely helpful and very obliging. Loved our stay here and I would highly recommend it. The only downside for smokers is that although there are balconies in the apartments, the entire complex is smoke free and you have to go outside onto the street if you wanted a smoke.

Convenient Location & Close to ICC

Posted Jun 6, 2017
Pros: Location, Facilities and Kitchenette
Cons: The heater took an extremely long time to get up to temperature
Location: Was there for a short work trip so the ICC, Darling Harbour and the Harbourside mall which had a food court with lots of selection
I stayed at this hotel for the convenient location which is just minutes walk away from ICC and Darling Harbour. The room has a small kitchen and there's also washing machine and dryer provided. Bed was comfy and room was a decent size. Unfortunately the room I stayed in kept making mechanical noises every half hour or so throughout the night and as a result I didn't sleep very well.

Location Location Location

Posted Jun 5, 2017
Pros: Price and proximity to Darling Harbour
Cons: Some instructions on running the sir con - I might be a bit slow but struggled to get it going and then moderate temp when it got warm.
Location: Everything Darling Harbour has to offer!
Was at a conference at International Events centre - couldn't believe that I got such a reasonably priced room only 800m from the conference venue 3 days before it started. The 'view' was of a car park but then it didn't matter as I was hardly in the room during the day.

Good hotel, good location, bad cleaning service

Posted Jun 4, 2017
Pros: Great front desk staff.
Cons: Cleaning of room.
Good location, within walking distance of many Sydney attractions. Excellent front desk staff. I extended my stay by one day; the front desk staff handled it with ease. Nice sauna for guests. Very poor cleaning staff. Toilet was not cleaned during my stay. Milk for tea was never restocked. Twice, I had to go to the front desk to get more milk. Overall, good.

Noisy shouting outside bedroom, unhelpful, unstaff

Posted May 29, 2017
The hotel is composed of owned apartments inhabited by noisy drunken interns who shout at all hours of the night. The apartments themselves are great! Very well equiped and big by Sydney standards. One of the receptionists had a full on shouting match with her manager while I was waiting to be served. The wheel of my suitcase was removed while I left my suitcase in their hold. Frankly I wouldn't go back. They need a more professional staff serving tourists and have become slack because there are regular tenants living there. It gets a 3. It's clean, central but noisy with unprofessional staff.

Basic hotel.

Posted May 27, 2017
The room was very dark as were the corridors and common areas. The room was noisy throughout the night. We could hear noise from other rooms and the street outside as we were on a low level.

Not what was expected from online images

Posted May 19, 2017
Room very tired and dungeon like. Uncomfortable bed and not at all what was expected for the price. I moved to another hotel, paid less and got a true 5 star hotel, this feels like a cheap motel. Staff were good but room and hotel I would not recommend, way over priced

VERY PLEASING STAY

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: Location was great. Nice tree lined Street. Very helpful staff.
Cons: Maybe some new paintwork, otherwise cant think of anything.
Location: Darling Harbour is very close. Getting the Hop On Hop Off at Darling Harbour was easy. There was a nice Cafe next to the Apartments.
We enjoyed our stay at Oaks Goldsbrough. Darling Harbour was very accessible, via a covered walkway from the 2nd floor, across the road and through a carpark. We had a fantastic view from the Penthouse Floor. The apartment was large and it was an extra bonus having two bathrooms. Not sure what it would be like on lower floors but being at the top was fantastic. We found it very quiet, despite the light railroad being across the road.

Good location, poor quality hotel

Posted May 9, 2017
Pros: Location was close to darling harbour
Cons: Room quality
Poor room quality/cleanliness. Room was old. Bed was uncomfortable. Balcony was located 3 feet from the western distributor freeway.
