Relaxed setting on Sydney HarbourPosted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Stylish place, and a very relaxed setting by the harbour on the weekend.
Cons: Parking is expensive is you use Valet, and a hassle if you do street parking as its metered.
Location: Walk to the new Barangaroo Reserve, Sydney Theatre and The Bar at the end of the Wharf. Or walk the opposite way to Circular Quay and The Rocks.
We stayed at Pier One Hotel on the weekend and also held our staff Xmas party. Our hotel room was lovely and had a unique "Pier" feel to it with exposed beams and although we were on the road side of the hotel, we had a view of the harbour bridge. Staff were all excellent. I loved the bar - quality of drinks, setting and staff. Our function was managed to perfection. All our guests had a great time and were impressed with the location. They especially loved arriving by boat and being greeted by function staff offering them a drink.

Avoid room 111.Posted Nov 17, 2015
Pros: Location and restaurant are great.
Cons: Leakage in room 111, bathroom and sound proofing.
Location: Short walk to circular quay.
My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. We got room 111 which was clearly a disabled access room, which we were not told about. The room had little furniture compared with other rooms. Also, we were a bit disappointed with the bathroom. Little surface area to put things down-I did my makeup using the sink! Also, there is no bath and the shower is very poor with regard to pressure and being disabled access has a shower curtain. I am not one to complain so was happy to move on, but not what you expect with the price tag. Next there was a wedding downstairs and the music (while quite a good band) was very noisy at 11pm. Hard to sleep! The final complaint we had pertains to a water leak in this room. The weekend we stayed it rained constantly and when we awoke the next morning there was water along the window sill, curtains, blinds, couch and carpet. It is clear the staff would be aware of this leak since there's water stains on the roof- yet still we were placed in this room. Its disappointing to also know that a less abled person would have to deal with this water issue. I don't think this room should be sold until the leak is fixed. We called the hotel staff and ended up getting free breakfast- Not much when you pay $440 for a night...Unable to refund due to booking through Expedia. Hoping to get more compensation through them because this room was not value or the right experience for the price tag. Pretty disappointed, wouldn't stay again

Great staff!Posted Nov 2, 2015
Pros: Staff, service and location.
Location: Be sure to book a room on the "water" side, with a view.
The staff was great from check in to check out. They even kept our bags for a few days while we went on a diving trip.

Placed in a room overlooking a balcony of another room where the guests held a noisy party full of rude people on a Saturday night. Could not sleep. We were given no warning on checking in that this was the type of room we were in and would expect to have been given a choice to move.
