Dismal effort from Accor

Pros: Convenient to shops and medical centers.
Cons: Pretty much everything about the hotel
Location: Hotel is in shopping centre with many shops, also the Concourse entertainment centre.
Old apartment block rebadged. Minimal poor quality food, overpriced, no desserts or drinks either alcoholic or soft. Roughest sheets I have ever experienced, awful mattress. Even moderate noise from other rooms carries.

Pros: Location
Cons: Sebel should fix known existing problems in their room. Also, the staff managed issues poorly.
Location: A big shopping centre right at the front step. Plenty of nice restaurants around to try out.
The location of Sebel Chatswood is great and it is reasonably priced. Walked into the room (1808), it appeared to be maintained reasonably well. After returning from the balcony, I noticed the sliding doors between living area and the balcony cannot be locked! After talking to the staff at the reception, and it appeared that the problem is already known but nothing has been done. With 2 small children running around, this is a concern. Their solution? A cable tie. Continue to find small issues during the stay, e.g. a moldy glass jar was discovered in one of the cupboard. Or you need to place your breakfast order before 9pm on the previous night, quite inconvenient when you plan to travel around. Finally, the big issue. 2 of the rooms don't have aircond! We first thought maybe the thermostat wasn't set correctly. Another night, and the temperature was close to 28-30. We bought it up to the staffs, who said they need to get a technician. The technician arrived later (without any staff member with him), and couldn't fixed it. That's the last thing we heard regarding aircond from the staff. So I bought this up during checkout, the response I got was we rejected a room change when offered. That offer was never made. The staff said it's on the record, when I request to see it, she can't find it. She said a room change should be offered and didn't know what happened as she's off duty. She promised they will follow it up, and waived the parking fee (although aircond > fees IMO).

Great apartment in great location

Pros: Location, kitchen, pool and the staff.
Cons: a few stains on the curtains and the bathroom bins not clean on the outside. Otherwise perfectly clean. Happy to sacrifice 'perfection' for price!
Location: Central Chatswood on the train station side - very convenient for shopping and to get anywhere in Sydney by train.
We loved staying at this hotel in an apartment with our four children. The location was amazing, across the road from the shops and just down the road from the train station at Chatswood. The pool was clean and refreshing, the room had everything we could need and the staff were amazing! Thanks for a great stay.

Superior double apartment with view close to train

Pros: Close to train and major expressways to visit Sydney and surrounds.
Cons: Dishwasher not operating properly, damp smell in both bathrooms, wifi internet access grossly overpriced.
Location: Centrally located in Sydney's northern suburbs with ready access to trains, buses and expressways. Lots of choice shops, restaurants and entertainment
Serviced two bedroom and two bath self-cater apartment with view to Sydney and the Heads of Sydney Harbour well suited our needs for 4 adults staying a week in Sydney and touring by rental car and by train and ferry.

Nice hotel great location.

Pros: Very comfortable and great location.
Cons: Spa is anaemic and not very warm. Power point too far from the mirror in the bathroom. Shower temperature hard to adjust. Funny bathroom tap handles.
Location: Very close to Chatswood station and in the heart of a fabulous retail and hospitality prescinct.
I was attending a conference in Chatswood and The Sebel was perfectly located and very convenient to get to from the airport.

Location: There was easy access to restaurants, shopping, transport.
I was so glad I was unable to book at the hotel I had first selected as the Sebel Chatswood was a brilliant experience. As my room was beside the lift I had my reservation as sometimes it can be a noisy room, but I was so pleased I didn't hear a sound. The front desk staff (the only ones I met apart from the delightful young man who brought my breakfast basket) were professional, helpful and caring. They recommended restaurants nearby and provided a map for me to find my way in case I forgot their clear directions. A great place to stay!

Good hotel on the North Shore

The Sebel was easy to get to, close to restaurants, shops, and the Chatswood train station. The 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious, making it ideal for a family of 5.
