“Everything was clean and the room did not smell stale and stink like some rooms. The only complaint was the bed was hard and a little high for old fat people. I loved the creek outback. Listening to that and the rain was so peaceful at night. I would stay here again. I highly recommend eating at Guayibitos Mexican restaurant in Maggie Valley and Waylans and Honeys in Waynesville. “We have visited Maggie Valley at least 5 times. This is the perfect place if you are on a budget. I also love that it's pet friendly. The rooms are very clean and the owners and the staff are extremely welcoming and will get you what you need, such as extra towels, trash bags, etc. There are so many local shops that are within walking distance. “What a gem this hotel was. It was a bit of a lucky find but glad we found it. Rooms were modern but had a rustic vibe. Room was also very spacious with a lot of room to move about. Very nice porch as well with a lovely babbling brook right outside the door. The only drawback was the 2 skylights that let in dawns light at 6am every morning, hence the 3 stars on comfort. We got used to it but it would be nice to have something set up to shade the light. We also liked easy access to extra towels……
