Mediocre hotel too far from the airport

The room was warm, the bed comfortable & the shower water hot. That's all the good I can say about this hotel. The Desk Staff, though friendly, knew very little about the operations of the hotel or what was in the area (restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc.). None of those things was within walking distance. The Desk failed to put through some business calls I was expecting - or the phone system did not consistently work (as I was told by the night clerk). Since I do not have a cell phone, this was quite annoying.
Since I also do not have a portable computer, I called before leaving home to find out if the hotel had a business center with one I could use. I was assured that it had. What I wasn't told was there are only 2 computers - one of which remained down during the 3 nights I stayed there. Apparently, no one on the staff knew how to fix it & wouldn't pay for it to be done. Fortunately, only one other guest used the computer while I was there, so it wasn't a big deal to cut our sessions short if the other one showed up to use it.
The maintenance staff did not speak English and a few were rather unfriendly about it. One man in particular never smiled & just pointed at the Desk Clerk when I asked him a question. His expression was almost hostile.
