Better choices in the area

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Location: Good beach location.
Room smelled of smoke. Staff shrugged shoulders. Lots of signs of leaks and mold in dining room. We were given 2 rooms overlooking the roof of the floor below where workmen had access. Nothing particular nice about this place.

Horrible hotel

The hotel room was is horrible condition very dirty and full of ants. In the bathroom's mirror there was a small sign just in Italian saying that the water was not potable! Unbelievable!

Cheaper Italian version of CLUB MED, happy vibe.

Great value place to stay. Sure it isnt a 5 star all bells and whistles hotel, but u get exactly what it says on the tin. Rooms are basic, but you don't spend much time in them anyway. They are spacious and functional and I would recommend one with a balcony so you can dry off your towel (u need to bring a pool/beach towel) at the day. There are no hidden extras when you check out, & they don't go out of their way to find extras to put on your bill either. I stayed with my 2 children (9 & 4 yrs old) and was the only Brit in the place, (thank heavens!!!). This was of huge fun to the Entertainment Chief who hosts the open air show everynight at 10pm, hauling us up onto the stage for fun poking and language games....all in jest & good spirit. I have a very basic understanding of French & Spanish and you get the gist of the entertainment as it is aimed at Kids aswell, so has to be easy to grasp..! The lunch & dinner buffet is a bit of a mild bun fight, I suggest arriving 10 mins after it starts and relaxing as there is plenty of food and they replenish platters both hot and cold very quickly. The pool is great and not used as much by the Italian guests, they seem to prefer the beach which is a 2 min walk down a path. We were more often by the pool, but the beach is there nevertheless if you like the morning or afternoon aqua gym classes and music to tap your feet to. Staff were amazing though not many english speakers. Car hire is available from reception, & highly recommended.

Excellent Value/Location for beach goers.

You cannot beat the room rate/price for the location of this hotel. The proximity to the beach is excellent. The hotel features are antiquated, but the location will make up for this lack of technology and security. WiFi service is free but only available in the lobby which is not a comfortable area for relaxation. Breakfast is included, but only consists of ham and cheese sandwiches, excellent pastries, and canned syrupy fruit which was a major disappointment. Sicily offers an abundance of fresh home grown fruit throughout the island, easily available from street cart vendors. I would definitely book again at this 3 star hotel.

Good Location but only if you have a car

Located directly on a nice beach. Quiet. Premises and rooms look a little tired and excude the "charme" of a old Eastern Block hotel. The front desk staff is pretty detached in its attitude. It calls itself a WiFi hotel but in two days we were there were only able to get a password to get on-line once for an hour in the lobby area. Only the General Manager, who apparently is not there a lot, can issue passwords at a charge. Presumably to prevent staff from surfing the Internet all day. Only one computer in lobby with the same access constraints.
