Nice hotel. Close to restaurants

At first the beds was small for a queen size bed. But I had a good view of the pool and the staff was friendly and nice. Breakfast was good to.

I liked having Restaurants in walking distance from the room. I slept great and the price was in my work budget.

Would not stay here again

Pros: room and bed were comfortable and clean
Entrance to hotel office is completely unmarked. After checking in I went to my room- room door was completely wide open. It is a motel- not a hotel!! Outside areas including walkways and stairwells were completely unlit at night-an accident/lawsuit waiting to happen! The two staff members that I interacted with were very polite and helpful. No workout/exercise facilities whatsoever. Second floor walkways were very damp/had pooled water on them after 8 pm. Not sure why- it had not rained and there was no rain in forecast. Went to lobby next morning at 6:30 to get some complimentary breakfast. Was informed that breakfast did not begin til 7am. That is way too late. Desk clerk putting out breakfast did allow me to get coffee and yogurt. I will be coming back to area week of 09/12- will not stay there. This place needs some improvement period!!!

We found the renovations to be very good. It is a nice clean place to stay. The staff were very helpful.

Run-down/dirty hotel, unfriendly&incompetent staff

Pros: nothing - it was disgusting
Cons: everything actually. How about, clean your facility.
Location: lakeview amphitheater was five miles away, although cab drivers will lie and tell you its further away and charge you a minimum of $30 each way
This hotel and area of Syracuse was absolutely disgusting. We stayed here for a concert at the new lakeview amphitheater. We were lied to about the price for a cab ride to the amphitheater and were actually picked up by a cab driver who had two dogs in her car (unmarked - definitely not service dogs). The hotel staff was totally incompetent- could not reverse a charge on a card and charge a different card. Check-in counter looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months - fingerprints all over it. The glass doors into the hotel were also pretty disgusting and were covered in hand prints, or maybe dog slobber from the cab driver's dogs who picked us up to go to the concert. The closest gas station was also disgusting.

Good place to stay!!

Pros: Friendly and attentive staff, Pool is nice but needs newer and more chairs. Missing the luggage cart was very inconvenient. well stocked breakfast..
Cons: The pool area could be improved, some of the chairs were broken & could use more of them. Also some chairs along the outside corridors on the balcony.
Location: Good location, close to the Thruway, plenty of restaurants and stores.for all tourists needs.
With some slight oversights this hotel is a good for the $....

Unlike most hotel experiences!

This was a surprising experience. It was like staying at a hotel/fraternity house where people were partying-- loud music, coming and going, shouting, drinking, in the hallways right outside our room until 2:30 am. Staff was friendly, and room was clean, but overall experience was unpleasant.

Worst!

We come to syracuse from charlotte every other month to visit family. This was by far the worst experience ever! We typically stay with emabssy, but wanted to give this place a fair chance since thwy said theybhad done a compmete remodel. This place had the rudest staff ever including the ghetto property manager! They didn't care at all about my complaints regarding my disgusting room where we found condoms from someone else's stay. That let me know they don't clean the rooms. The manager tried to make me feel bad because I wanted her to hold herself and staff to a higher standard. Housekeepers were rude and they ignored the do not disturb sign continuously. When we complained to the rude front desk staff and they only said sorry and hung up on me. After being placed in five rooms because of poor cleanliness, broken tvs, and broken air I was told i would be receiving a partial refund. I contacted hotels.com about my disgusting experience and was told that they would look into it. Hotels.com contacted me to let me know the management at this hotel refuses to provide any refund. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL, IT IS THE WORST IVE EVER STAYED AT! GO TO THE EMBASSY ACROSS THE STREET!
