Pretty Ragged and in need of a refresh

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Precious little, reasonable location.
Cons: Clean it up and explain customer service to the owner and staff.
Location: Reasonably near SeaTac
The property is in ROUGH condition. worn, broken and tired. Unimpressive and largely inattentive staff (except for the night clerk who checked us in, everybody else were sort of bored and not caring).. room could use significant freshening with paint and furnishings, no bedspread, tub-shower was rough and the refinish material mostly rubbed off exposing multiple cigarette burns and gouges. not what I would expect for a Days Inn property and franchise. breakfast area unattended and equipment not functioning and unclean. If I were a franchise secret visitor, this property would be condemned. Time to do a full remodel and pep-talk with the staff (or replacement!)

Shabby Rooms

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: New linens. Vacuum the carpet. Replenish the coffee packets
WE chose this Days Inn because they had a pool. The pool was closed as the filtration system was broken. The water was a slimy green so it was evident it was closed for some time. The room lamps were burned out when we arrived and we had only one dim light until repairs were made. The bed-spreads had cigarette burns in them and they were well aged as they showed lots of pills on the fabric. Coffee packet was not replenished for day two. There was a dead bug in the tub when we went to shower. I will never ever stay at Day's Inn again. How do I get a hold of Day's inn CEO as the desk clerk was also rude.

Horrible for the money

Posted Aug 16, 2015
Booked online , and when we arrived they said we booked a smoking room which in fact I did not as my son is asthmatic and no way in hell would I book a smoking room. When I explained this to the front desk person he pretty much said we can't do nothing as Expedia randomly picks a room ..

Buyer Beware

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Ugh, where to start? First, we paid for a King room, was given a queen and told that there wasn't any king size room available. The pool was "closed for maintenance" the entire stay. The only ice machine was broken. The "continental breakfast" was sparse, and served in a very tiny, unkempt, dirty room...we didn't even attempt to eat any of the food; opting instead to pay for breakfast at a local fast food chain. There was no parking when we got back later in the evening, and had to park in the 'bar' parking lot next door. On the second day, we received a call while we were out enjoying our vacation, telling us that they were switching us to a king room, and asking when we could get there to move our stuff so they could clean the room. When we got back to the hotel, we told them that there wasn't a need to switch, and that we were fine spending the rest of our stay in the queen room. We were then told, "You have to move, we double book a room, and a lady with 4 kids has to have your room because it is close to the other room they booked." The King room that we were given was poorly cleaned, the air conditioner barely worked, there wasn't any cups, toiletries, or spare towels, and the shower was lukewarm at best. The only outlet by the bed (to plug in a CPAP machine) was located behind the head of the mattress, and used an outdated jack! There wasn't any attempt by management/employees to refund or discount stay...we didn't get what we paid for...buyer beware!

Don't stay here, ever

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Customer service, true information about how far away from the airport this hotel really is.
Location: Nothing, bad neighborhood. Stay indoors!
Nowhere near as close to the airport as they advertise. More like 30 minutes away...not so good a neighborhood. They won't have the room they advertised online, and their staff doesn't care.

at the right location at the time, otherwise…

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: It was located conventiently.
Cons: Bring the establishment up to code.
The exterior of the facility is a bit grubby, Motel trash cans were all overflowing. There are signs on the second floor guardrail saving not to lean on guardrail - implying some safety concern. This should not be! The guardrail should perform to Code standards. Obviously this rail is sub-standard and a potential fall hazard.

Dirty and smelly...

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Our floor had a working ice machine....
Cons: Educate the staff on how to do check-ins and about the local area. no smoking rooms should be actually just that...
I don't think that the non smoking signs mean a thing on the doors to the actual rooms. We booked 4 rooms as we had 11 people in our group and 3 of the 4 smelled horribly of smoke yet they were all "non-smoking". General cleanliness was rough, stains on the bedding, typical low water pressure for showers with no ability to control the temperature. The breakfast room was dirty, equipment dirty and products less than desirable. Front desk staff at check-in were very rough to deal with and didn't seem to know what they were doing. House-keeping staff were very pleasant but you could tell they were overworked and stressed.
