Right across the street from Emerald Queen Casino

Posted Oct 3, 2016
The room worked for what we needed. Across the street from the Emerald Queen Casino and not far from Tacoma Dome. I will stay here again on my next trip.

Gang Party Next Door that ended at 4am

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: Absolutely nothing.
Cons: You've got to be kidding.
This was literally the most horrific night I have ever spent in a hotel. From midnight until 4am the music, loud and angry voices, and the sense of imminent danger was ridiculous. The only reason we stayed through was because we didn't want them knowing it was us who went to the front desk. I am not exaggerating. Take a gang scene from any gritty movie—that's what it felt like being next door to. We will be writing directly to the hotel and demanding a full refund. You should not associate with this hotel, Expedia. Pretty sure we saw a drug deal going down as we got out of our car and walked to our room. Should have just turned around and left but the room was already paid for.

It was nice

They can up grade the pillows, and make sure that there is enough towels for the number of people in the room as well as up grading the coffee pot ( 4 cup) 😶since there is not a coffee stand near by

Excellent, friendly staff but ran down

Posted Sep 5, 2016
Pros: The staff, the parking, location is right across from a casino
Cons: The continental breakfast was minimal, the upkeep
Location: Casino
I will start with the positive. The staff. They are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Had a few good laughs with them over our room situation. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Furniture was a little ran down but we were literally just sleeping there so that didn't bother us. So now for the negatives. They were a bit unorganized, got the feeling there system was not reliable. The first room we went to literally had customers just leaving so of course it wasn't cleaned yet. We were given a new room and here comes the negative. The door handle was broken. Not broken so that anyone could get in. Broken as such that we got stuck in our room 3 times and had to have staff come let us out! The first time I suggested we try a different room and the gal (like I said, the staff was very sweet) thought she could fix it. After a few laughs with the owner and the nice gal attempting to fix the problem, it seemed it was working fine and we just wanted to get to our concert so we tried the door a few times successfully and left. Well, the next morning it happened again, we were literally trapped in our room! The nice gal had to come and save us, it was like a scene out of a comedy, had to take the screen off the window so she could lean in and tighten some screws all while my husband was sleeping in the bed. They granted us a late check out, again very accomidating, but we had to keep the deadbolt open so the door would not close. Interesting comical stay.

Good for One star

Posted Aug 28, 2016
For breakfast, orange machine was out of order; hot water machine was not properly working. So, only coffee was available for drink. In the room, smell was pretty bad even though non-smoking room. Among five hotels I stayed during this travel, this is the worst.

A real dive off the freeway.

Posted Aug 16, 2016
Pros: The staff were friendly enough, but seemed as though they did not have much to work with. This location needs to undergo serious renovation.
Cons: Beds, the breakfast area, a couple more staff to help attend guests in the morning and provide security, rooms need new paint and carpet. Better TV.
Location: There is nothing to do nearby. It is dirty and feels un-safe. You are better off staying in the larger cities of Tacoma, Federal Way and Lakewood.
Location: Terrible, noisy, dirty and right across the street from a big Casino. Did not feel safe. Walls were thin, and you can hear just about anything coming through them. No visible security cams for parking lot. Tried to get some soup at a nearby restaurant only to discover the place being checked out by the police. Gives you an idea of the neighborhood. Room: Room was a bit dirty and much smaller than shown in picture. Was told we would receive a queen size bed with the room upon reservation. Was given a full size bed instead, which was incredibly hard and uncomfortable. Amenities: Was supposed to have a continental breakfast provided. Pictures showed a nice dining room, fruit waffle machine juice, assortment of cold cereals etc. Juice machines were broken, counters were dirty, no one was re-stocking the mini fridge. Was lucky to get one waffle and an egg. Entertainment: TV channels included: Sports, XXX rated material and news. Nothing else that you don't pay for. There are no other sources of recreation nearby unless you count the casino. There are "shopping" strips nearby with a few hole in the wall restaurants scattered between them. If you want to go to a movie or do real shopping, you will need to go into the nearby city of Federal Way, Tacoma or Lakewood, 15-20 minutes away.

Across the street from a casino.

Friendly staff and not dirty. BUT..... Rooms and lobby were super stuffy. Much of the clientele seemed somewhat sketchy. And the free breakfast was pretty much a joke. I guess to be expected being across the from street from Casino.
