Upon check-in we found a few cleaning issues with our room which they promptly took care of. Unfortunately the The next morning while taking a shower I was standing in ankle deep water and found an old crusty washcloth in the shower curtain. Obviously the cleaners didn’t bother to clean the shower curtain or the drains.

We stayed a few days at the Inn (why do they CAPITALIZE the word "Inn", I wonder?) and would happily stay there again. It isn't perfect by any means, but any shortcomings are made up for by the helpful and friendly staff. Our "extended" room was spacious and comfortable. Despite double windows, there was notable traffic noise. The room, including bathroom, needs freshening and touch up. The wifi is free (thank you!) but glitchy for those of us using Apple devices. The TV took some tweaking but worked. The Inn has two chargers for electric vehicles and we took full advantage of that. The location is convenient to any area of Gig Harbor, with pretty easy highway access. Still on Covid protocol, management has rooms serviced only every three days of your stay, which was fine with us although trash did accumulate. The breakfasts are welcome but unremarkable. The coffee in the room on the K-machine is, well, it's there, but the coffee in the breakfast room and by reception is quite good. What makes the Inn stand out? The helpful and friendly nature of its employees. At times there is only one staff person on the property and that accounts for some of the maintenance items noted above. That is likely due to the nationwide staffing shortage and the hotel is doing its best to compensate. Were it not for the staff, in a return trip to Gig Harbor we would look for another place. But because of the staff, we will look first at the Inn at Gig Harbor.

We had a wonder and spacious room. Staff was kind enough to move us from a noisy room that was next to a busy road to a very large and much quieter room.
