Really great stay, home away from home, great hosts, made me feel very welcome, very quiet, very peaceful, relaxing and everything I needed for work. Great bed, great wifi, great room, great breakfast, parking and a pub 4 minutes walk away for dinner. Awesome highly recommend. Easy to find.

Best of four

Posted Sep 9, 2015 on Hotels
Greeted by friendly host upon arrival with offers of refreshment. Had the best shower of the four guest houses we stayed in on this trip. Also, the best breakfast choices including continental & marmite for the toast. The house is full of character & the gardens are beautiful. The Boot & Shoe pub around the corner serve very nice food

Quiet location

dowdy crammed furniture in small room - no soap/facecloth - expected cake and tea on arrival as advertised . would not want to stay there in the winter. Very quiet - so good to sleep.

Hi sorry you are disappointed with the service, we only serve tea and cake between 4pm to 8pm as advertised, and you want to see that 13 KW log burner going in winter plus the central heating with the option of a bedroom heater you will not be cold, double glazed also!! soap is available and shower gel sorry no face cloths as we think them unhygienic. Regards Chris

Very cozy getaway

Posted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels
We very much enjoyed our stay at the old Presbytery. The nicest part was having a complimentary coffee or tea at arrival with wonderful homemade cake in the quiet lounge. The place is very clean and has a homey feel to it. We missed some more conversation and time spent with our fellow guests and our hosts, but I'm sure if we had stayed longer this would have been provided as people loosen up. We'd love to come back.
