Adorable bungalow #4Posted Oct 4, 2014
Pros: Charm, friendly staff, excellent food, dreamy exotic resort.
Cons: Bed and AC.
Location: Boat, fish, snorkel, day trip to nearby islands for exploring vanilla plantations and pearl farms, local people are very friendly.
Enchanting, no doubt. After my research, this is what I expected! The food is tops, and they provide a daily dinner menu so you can make adjustments if you prefer. Breakfast and lunch were as desirable as dinner. Great stay for foodies. Beach is gorgeous, scenery magical, amazing getaway. Access by boat is unique, but expect 1/2 hour choppy ride from airport. Interestingly, you just get off a plane and cross the yard to the boat and water. The only bummer for me was the bed and air conditioning unit. The bed was hard, and I had a rough time sleeping the first night. The second night I found some more pillows and bolstered them around for mild cushioning. I had a sunburn, so that honestly didn't help. The AC unit was switched on and we kept it on for basically two nights. It never really cooled our bungalow:(, perhaps two degrees. We think they need freon or a new unit! However, our bungalow did receive a lot of sun on the roof, so that added heat. We didn't want to complain, and never mentioned it to our hosts. We weren't suffering in paradise, just a bit hot when indoors. You will spend most of your time on the large deck chairs staring at the blue water. We spent lots of time snorkeling. The fish were plentiful. Use some bread to feed them from your deck at night. An outside light shone in the water from our frontage. Overall, we highly recommend this getaway. (10th anniversary, and worth every cent) If they get heavenly beds and upgrade the AC it will be the best Ever!

Location: Relax, eat, swim, snorkel, kayak and watch the nature of French Polynesia.
This was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at in terms of location and ambiance. The staff are wonderful..the food is fabulous and the peace and tranquility is overwhelming. There is excellent snorkelling close by too.
