Their cleaning staff need to be a bit more attentive to the shower area. I was quite happy overall but the cleaning needs more work. Also, due to some construction or renovation work, they had us change rooms.?usually not a big deal but the actual room was considered the same but the room was definitely smaller. Again, the shower room was not well cleaned. The staff were awesome and spoke English very well, also helpful about the area.

The breakfast was good. And location relatively convenient. But carpet was dirty & smelled. Upon request, staff brought in dehumidifier, which solved the smell issue. Aircon was at 19 degrees & cannot be adjusted. Upon request, staff brought in extra blanket & heater.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I will definitely come back. I think the staff here is excellent and very hospitable. The man who greets you at the front door is especially friendly and welcoming. He always remembers me! I really like the quieter location, and it is close to bus routes, MRT, and the river path. My only complaint is that the overall cleanliness of the hotel is not very top tier. Hope that the owners invest in an overhaul in carpeting, bath tubs, and room furniture and accessories. I hope that they also invest in bidet toilets for bathrooms. Aside from those issues, this is a great place to stay. Looking forward to my next stay at City Suites Nanxi. Thank you for your hospitality!

Affordable, Comfortable Hotel with Great Breakfast
Friendly and helpful staff, Jimmy at the front desk helped me book a tour of Juifen, Raymond the doorman warmly greeted every evening, and provided me with an umbrella one night when it was raining, while others helped me with directions to Elephant Mountain, arranging taxi to Taoyuan Airport, housekeeping promptly cleaned my room each day, and provided New Years Eve gifts on Dec 30 and Dec 31. Hotel is walking distance to the MRT and the Main Train Station, Q Square with its huge dinning court is nearby, its very close to the Ninxia Night Market, and is a couple doors down from the historic and tragic flashpoint of the February 28, 1947 violent crackdown on civilians. Mrs White's laundromat is nearby, and there is a Starbucks and good Boba Tea place nearby. This hotel was my home for an eight night holiday visit to Taipei.

Pros: 1. Location: close to the main station and many sceneries, as well as night market. 2. Staff: well trained staff, nice attitude. We didn't make special request, however whenever we asked about something, there were answers they could provide. 3. Safety: it is a safe city and Neiborhood. you may see traffic around but generally there were no concerns if you want to take a walk at nights. 4. Great breakfast. It was not a fancy breakfast. But you could feel the chef did an excellent job. It included 3 cold vegetable and 2 cold meat dishes, 3 warm dishes with protein and 2 warm dishes without. You could find 4 drinks plus hot coffee, cereals and 2 fruit salads. Overall, it fitted Asian and western styles without too many choices. On top of that, there were 2 different dishes every day. We were fully stratified. Cons: 1. smell: I heard it is like this for all the hotels in Taipei. But I only spoke up my stays in this hotel. The humid smell of the carpet was strong. My husband got allergies with running nose the whole week. We consumed 2 boxes of tissues. And the symptom disappeared without any medicine once we came back home.

Stayed for 10 days in a spacious and comfortable corner room. Staff was courteous, breakfast was good, free coffee all day, quick elevators. Next grocery and convenience stores in a safe area. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, friendly staff. A short walk to MRT. Reception desk is unusually located on the 2nd floor but greeter is on the 1st floor and would gladly escort you to the reception desk. Free breakfast - due to my VIP status (Thanks Expedia!), not just an ordinary continental breakfast I got used to in the U.S. or Europe. Plenty of food! I highly recommend this hotel especially for families on vacation.

The location is superb, walkable to shopping, dining, Taipei main station, and MRT. The rooms are somewhat dated but clean, housekeeping does a fantastic job given the condition of the room. The morning buffet is included for us but the selections and variations are limited, so we decided to eat out after 3 days. The best part is the hotel personnel staff, particularly the front desk staff, they've gone above and beyond to accommodate, and improve, all our needs, including sightseeing arrangments, and attention to the smallest details, that's why I give this hotel a thumbs up. Thank you for everything

Aged property but decently upkept. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice bathtub that filled up quickly - great to soak in after a day of walking and sightseeing. Seems reasonably sound proofed too as I could hardly hear the traffic (my room was located away from the main street though). It's also a short ride away from Taipei main station and easy to get a cab at the entrance (or just order Uber).

By far the best breakfast of any moderate price hotel I have stayed at in Taipei. Friendly efficient staff. 15 minutes walk to MRT subway, or frequent buses.

Bad design for a property that is supposed to be for business travelers, 1. Only 1 power socket with 2 outlets closed to each other, and they are not by the bed so you will need an extension to charge your phone by your bed. 2. Sockets at the study table does not have wider space for travel adapters so you can barely plug one in which is also unstable. Only way is to use the bathroom outlet but also need an extension and you might trip on the wire.

很整潔和舒服，交通方便，服務態度很好。訂了superior room, 很大跟舒服。 唯一的缺點是由於房間並沒有與沐浴間/洗手間分隔，只有透明玻璃門，個人覺得不太習慣，但整體感覺都是很舒適的！
