Good hotel close to MRT and Taipei 101 building

Posted Mar 9, 2017
Pros: Close to the MRT and Taipei 101
Cons: Shower in our first room did not drain well.
We stayed in two different rooms at this hotel. The first room was a double (we thought we had booked two beds, but mistakenly only booked a room with one bed). The room was nice. The only issue we had was the shower did not drain well and eventually it led to water all over the bathroom floor. Other than that, the room was nice Our second room was a two bed room. This room was nice in appearance and we had a partial view of the Taipei 101 building. We did not experience any issues with this room. Overall, this is a good hotel close to the Red MRT line and the Taipei 101 building so there are things nearby. We would stay here again.

Located in a business area of Taipei. Walking distance to 101 tower. Hotel as it is used to be good 15+ years ago. Rooms are spacious, but old. Needs renovation.

Great proximity with Taipei 101 and cleanliness.

Posted Nov 16, 2016
Pros: Location, cleanliness and front desk service.
Cons: Was here for 2 nights on biz trip but was given a room that doesn't have a bathtub while some of my other colleagues have, but we paid same price.
Location: Walking distance to Taipei 101 and night market. Taxi is easily hailed from outside the hotel. There were 2-3 nearby bars that you can visit.
Great location - 10 minutes walk to Taipei 101 (and train station) and night market. No sweat on getting taxi from outside the hotel. Somehow the pillow was hard and not comfortable to sleep with, probably Taiwan have different preference because similar pillow also provided when I was in Taichung.

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 16, 2016
I liked my stay at this hotel. Didn't have much interaction with staff or with amenities so I can't really judge. Very nice and clean room but did not look anything like the picture for an executive suite; kind of more like a regular room. Im kind of wondering if they down graded my room. I love that there is a iron and bored there, something that even the most luxury hotels don't provide. Over all a good stay

Only if it's less than $80/night

Posted Jul 19, 2016 on Hotels
The hotel is very dated. I chose this to see if I could have another option for Xinyi district. I was very disappointed. There are multiple reasons for my disappointment: 1. The corridor is very narrow, dimly lit and smelled musty. 2. The room was stuffy, hot and smelled musty as well. I was told it'd only take 5 mins for the room to cool down as the air condition wasn't on. It took an entire night for the temperature to be at the right level to feel comfortable. 3. The bed has a gap in the middle as it's not a king size bed but two twins put together. The bed is also very hard and uncomfortable. 4. The towels are thin and small instead of the standard fluffy large ones used by 4+ higher rating hotels. The only saving grace is their breakfast with nice selections of items for both Eastern and West. If it's less than $80/night, I may consider staying there again - only for emergency or a maximum of one night.
