Very good location!
I have stayed here many times and I really enjoyed the location. The staff working here is nice but may not be available 24-hour a day. It will be a bit difficult if you don't speak/understand mandarin.

A mosquito-infested dump, unsafe
Horrible. Electric outlets where broken off and bare cables visible. Mosquito infested. It is NOT REALLY A HOTEL, some apartment that somebody rents out. No response from hotel when I asked for the unsafe electricity plug to be fixed.

Though friendly staff, no full time staff on location. Contact through online messenger. Facilities include washer, dehumidifier, racks to do laundry. The walls are thin, you may hear your neighbors. Cleanliness, passable, but sometimes grossed by the dirty headboards and questionable bed frame that holds the mattress. Feels cramped. Convenient location next to blue and brown line mrt. I'd appreciate if the place was labeled corectly . Not comfortable, room occasionally smells of something damp like other reviewers mentioned. normally woke up with itching bump.

Noise isolation between rooms is not good
Mattress is bad on one side and always make noise each time you move. Also , noise isolation between rooms is not good, you can easily hear other rooms flush the toilet, and people talking

Not recommended, bad service and expensive rate
Bad service, room is dim, has cockroach and provided dirty towel stained with lipstick and hair from previous tenant. When I requested for a change of towel, the old man who manned a desk said they do not provide bath towel to single guest, I have to use the 2 small hand towels even though it's dirty. Only when I insisted for a refund then he called the owner and they agreed to change a room for me.

Sogohouse - Hard to Find - Good Value
Strange hotel. No key to enter building and weird instructions to find electronic key in mailbox. Thought I was locked out of the building and would sleep on the street. There is really no front desk and no attendant. More like an a tiny one room apartment. Also, very hard to find. But, price is REALLY cheap, and once you find it, the location is superb with lots of great restaurants and nearby shopping.

Too much for too little
For the amount I paid, I was expecting a nicer looking hotel, but it ended up feeling more like a hostel. We got a 4 person room, which made the room have little to no space. They had a full bed with two portable beds on the side. My friends and I barely had space to place our luggage, get dressed, and move about without bumping into something. We also had flies in our room, which is a first. We closed the windows, and attempted to keep the bathroom door closed but they would still get in.

My family myself, my wife, my mother and my kid 4 persons in the quad room the room overall was good only the bed not comfortable at all very hard and old. Air-condition temperature only can go down to 24 degree only not 16 degree.

The experience with staff is great. Price is decent at a convenient location. Very thoughtful to provide all you need in the room. Not only with A/C, there is a fan, dehumidifier, something to keep the bugs away and also everything else you expect from a decent hotel.

Weird check-in method as there is not a dedicated receptionist. Hotel is quiet and in a very excellent location. Very close to subway and very close to nice restaurants and SOGO. I was told to put the clean up room sign and after 2 days, I put up the sign. I returned a few hours later to find the trash taken out, but the bed not made nor changed. Kind of weird, but ok I suppose. Overall, a good hotel for the money, especially for the location and privacy.

- Staff is nice who let us early check-in - good to have washing machine and humidifier, you can wash clothes and dry them easily - location is very good, walk about 5 mins will have mtr, SOGO - when you turn left, you can have many types of food can choose - room size is too small, it said can fit for 3 adult and 1 kid, but, actually 1 x queen size bed and 1 x 3ftx6ft bed. they take out the sofa and replaced by that small bed, which means no seat except your bed - the place for luggages storage is just an coridor which is smelly as next to trash bin

Language was a slight barrier e.g. email communication and devices instructions (washing machines, dehumidifier, etc.) are all in Chinese but the landlord was very helpful and prompt to assist. Overall, a pleasant stay here and would choose this place again if I were to visit Taipei again.

The location was good, though lugging our baggage from the train station may be a little inconvenient. I booked a room for 3 person but the third person bed provided was a thin mattress. Bedding wasn't exactly clean, or it looked washed out and old. but in general the room was still alright for the price we paid for.

Perfect Apartment Style Living
This place is really good for those looking for a more apartment style accommodation. Very close to the subway station however not clearly labeled. Staff is only available at times listed on the page. You must make an arrangement with them if you don't arrive during their check out hours as they are not 24 hours. Place was very safe, comfortable, clean; laundry machine was a plus after travelling for awhile. Check out was very fast and easy. (Drop and go) Would stay again :)

Great location but small room.
The location is very close to MRT station and shopping malls. The room is very small for family. We had to close our three 20" luggages in order to have some walk room. I was disappointed with the luggage storage area, it was a grabage collection area for the tenants in that building.

This is a guesthouse in an apartment building
The place was easy to find in a side street. The room was small but compact rather than tiny and there was room to move. The room did have a comfortable double bed. The booking had said to be there by 6pm. I couldn't do that but convenient arrangements were made for me to pick up the key. Otherwise the building has a concierge who speaks some English. He conveniently held my bags for many hours after checkout. I would stay here again.

Once we managed to get in, we found the room to be great. Comfortable and quiet. But because this isn't a hotel, but rather a room, we had trouble getting in because there is no reception. It was late at night and a nice Taiwanese man helped by calling the number for us. It would help if hotels.com sent customers' email to Sogo so that Sogo House could send an email with instructions and specific directions. It was hard to find also because there is no sign. So specific instructions to people so they know how to find it and how to get in is really needed.

Hidden gem
The hotel is hidden and nondescript. It appears almost like a hostel, but dont let that deter you! Each room had a full private bathroom with a washing machine included! There was also the kitchen necessities like a hot water maker, sink, coffee, tea, etc. The room had an air conditioner, new TV, couch, and a comfortable bed. Very nice and great place for the price.

One foot out the door and you're next to 4 boba shops in a row, plus many more less than a block away. A couple more blocks away and you're at the busy Zhongxiaofuxing MRT and the lively district around it (think Gangnam in Seoul). Sogohouse rooms are located on the first floor, so there's no view, but it's very secure. The rooms are small but perfect for two. The bathroom is Taiwanese style -- meaning the shower is not separated from the toilet, so you can literally take a shower on the toilet if you want to. Laundry is super convenient, and there's a dehumidified in the room to help dry your clothes during the night/day while you're out. The room uses a number keypad instead of a key, but there's a key fob that you need to use to get into the are where the Sogohouse rooms are located (and also the main door, for nights/Sundays when the security guard is not there). It's very easy to get in touch with the landlord over LINE, Wechat, or Whatsapp and she responds immediately. She even came over to show us how to use the laundry machine! Excellent customer service and I'd highly recommend this as an affordable way to stay in the hottest part of Taipei. I think the only "complaints" I have are the rough towels and the lack of hair conditioner, neither of which were a problem at all since you can easily buy a soft towel and great Japanese conditioner at Watsons down the street that I can continue to use/enjoy back in the US. Perfect!

Location Convenient , Small Room
The location is great - near malls, near mrt , near food. For the family room , its a room and squeeze in 2 single beds, really has almost no room to move with 2 luggage. The washing machine is convenient, with clothes hanger provided. Bring your own washing detergent. There's a lady who comes to clean up each day, but no changing of towels/bedsheet every day. Its hard to navigate the taxi to the place, and we have a little adventure checking in, you have to contact the sogo house person when u reach and instructions be given on how to get in. For the price you pay , and if u just going in there to sleep and just looking for convenience, i think its still a good choice.

Comfy and clean room; Great location; good service
staff very friendly, great location in the heart of Taipei city near MRT station, shopping malls, food and small shops. However, the price is a bit high but still acceptable. Will definitely stay in this hotel or rather hostel again.

Centrally located apartment
The apartment is located near major shopping malls. It's ok for a short stay. But the room has no windows and there's a damp smell. Also, the cleaning lady would let herself in even when guests are in the room. Not a lot of TV channels to choose from. Have stayed at nicer apartments that were cheaper.

Let me cut to the chase. Overall, I wanna give 8.5 out of 10. The location, service(English is available), maintenance, etc. all things are lovely. One thing to mention is that even though it is close to the subway station and any other transportation it is difficult to find at the first time. I was having hard time to get there and had to ask a local people to call the place and direct me. Furthermore, the room I stayed does not have any windows it is the only disadvantage I could tell.

便宜好住又舒適的房子
服務人員有禮貌易相處，住處的環境舒服，房間大小適中，兩人共住就算同時打開行李箱也不會感到擠迫，只是洗澡的時候會有積水問題。地址方便易找，去各處境點都方便，下次去台灣也會再考慮入住。
