My husband and I were in an attic room -- 3 steep flights up. No a/c and no cross ventilation - not even a fan. The first night was very warm and I had trouble sleeping. The bed was supposedly a queen, but it was a double. And too soft. There were no services beyond the first day - no emptying of garbage, taking wet towels, etc. We returned at 11 PM on our 2nd night and I realized we had only a bit of toilet paper. I looked in common bathrooms (some people share -- we had our own bathroom). I finally had to call the main number and probably woke up whoever had to bring the paper. My friend had another attic room and had to share the bathroom with a couple of slobs -- very unpleasant. Also -- the walls are paper thin -- at least in the attic. Breakfast is included. The first morning it was excellent, the 2nd morning it was so-so and the third morning (a Sunday) it was barely existent. No one was even around and a few things were left out for us. However, if you can put all this aside, the location is excellent and our room was clean when we arrived. Hoteliers not taking care of common areas, however - especially bathrooms - is unacceptable.

Our BnB has been in operation for more than 14 years. We are known to provide our guests with excellent services at a reasonable cost. This is what is behind our growing reputation.
The Carroll Room is located on the first floor of the House; it faces the main street and has 2 huge windows that can be opened to allow ventilation whenever needed. The month of March was basically chilly, reason why a space heater was available in the room while we were waiting to switch to the mini-split system which is now functional.
You signed our check-in registration form which implies that you read our regulations and agreed to comply with them. But looking at your complaints, you choose to totally ignore them. This is how:
1. There is a fee to clean your room while you are using it. We did not receive a written or verbal order from you on this service.
2. We have these words framed on the front desk “PLEASE SAY SOMETHING IF YOU NEED SOMETHING” and the number is there to call. You never use this number.
3. Breakfast on Sundays is served between 8:30 and 9:30 AM. We don’t know at what time you came.
During your stay, we had a company working on the renovation of our heating and cooling system. We did apologize for any inconvenience this work intended to increase the comfort of our guests could create, but made every effort to sweep any dust on the main floor. This is why we never register any complaints on the site. For your friend, she knew upfront about sharing the bathroom. Actually, she reserved to come back in the same room, which is clearly an indication of her satisfaction with our place, contrary to the image you are trying to project. We do ask of our guests to assist in helping us keep the cost low. During your 3 nights stay, you used over 9 towels. All beds on the 3rd floor are full size, except the one you are referring to, which is queen size.
