Had a dead mouse that my wife stepped on in her bare feet in our room had maggots live maggots in our room

Greatly disappointed!

The Eden Park Inn was a major disappointment for us. We were expecting a charming Bed & Breakfast Inn, the bed sucked, (too soft and on rollers so the bed moved all the time), and there was no breakfast. The owner tried to laugh it off that she didn't understand why people automatically assumed that there would be breakfast served just because it was in the name. And, she then told us that she had made arrangements with a coffee shop next door that served only "breakfast sandwiches" to give her tenants 10% off. We think someone lived in the basement of the Inn as we could hear sounds down there and smelled food cooking in the evenings. But as far as we could tell the two nights we stayed there, we were the only ones there. After we checked in the first night we never saw the Inn owner or anyone else again. We were told if we had any problems to call the owner on her cell phone. We did have an issue the refrigerator wasn't on, we later discovered it was unplugged, and then it worked. But she didn't return our call until 11:30 a.m. the next morning. The place was clean, but looked quite run down. So, we would highly recommend you not stay here.

Very convenient

The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. My only real complaint is that they advertised a complimentary breakfast, but after we got there they wanted to charge us $7 for it. The restaurant next door is excellent. Skip the $7 breakfast.

Thank you very much for the review. I am sorry that you looked at the old adds where we advertised complimentary breakfast. we do not force our guests to eat here. In fact we have made arrangement with the restaurant nest door to give 10% discount to all our guests for any meal. with appreciation,

Cheap and feels cheap

Place was clean-ish - certain locations were better than others. Not a lot of effort put into re-modeling to make it into a hotel. No desk in room. Food was mediocre. Not very well organized - didn't have the internet passcode until 2nd night and charging the room was made to be confusing. The individuals managing were nice, though, and accomodating. It was cheap, which is why I was there, but it felt cheap too. Good place to lay your head down for not too much money but don't expect much.

Sorry J that our food was not up to your taste. The internet passecode is on the frond ask. You could also ask for it at check in. We put lots of effort into cleaning. This place as different rooms and different rates to suit all budgets, I would say that you got what you paid for.

Very spartan. You have to pay extra to have your room cleaned. Apparently, there is no owner/manager on site -- I thought I lost my keys, so I called the manager and woke her up. It was about 9:00. She very groggily said she would have to come over. Luckily, I found my keys, so both she and I got some rest.

Not really a business supporting lodging choice. The neighborhood was very nice and safe. 15 minute walk from the Metro station.
