Appalling customer service

We could have lived with the slightly shabby appearance of the hotel and the holes in the towels, not to mention the very limited breakfast, however, there are limits. We had booked 2 nights in this hotel, however, had to move out to another establishment down the road due to the level of noise from the bar next door, which, when we complained at 2 am, we were told would continue until 5 am. The most unforgivable part was the owner's attitude when we tried to confirm the booking was prepaid. We were shouted at and treated with contempt by both the receptionist and the owner of the hotel. We would certainly not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Istanbul as there are many better hotels in the same area.

Nice Hotel, Value for price

Nice stay, Nice big room and kind staff. The only concern is the bars all around that area, they are open until late at night and the music is loud.

great location, but cash only

this is on a sidestreet in a great location. a little bit noisy because the back rooms face a garden restaurant. plenty of cafes and bars right outside the hotel. the place is cash only even though it lists a slew of credit cards it accepts on expedia! i was told when i checked in that i could use a card and then when i checked out, he refused to take a credit card for payment.

A complete let down

The hotel though it is centrally located it let us down on several points: - No one spoke proper English in the hotel - The free breakfast was very boring. Bread, jam, butter, 1 egg, few olives and tea/coffee. Could have had a more interesting spread. - The view from the room was few run down buildings - Not friendly to tourists. Hardly saw a smile on anyone's face at the hotel. It was as we had to pay extra for a smile.

Excellent experience. Very helpful staff and clean rooms. Would stay there again for sure. Safe as single female traveler.
