Disappointed with Offering!

Posted Aug 23, 2015
We arrived during a busy college weekend and anticipated crowds. That is why we had a reservation. Check in ok. Room nice and clean. Hotel overall was good. The problem is with the breakfast offering. First breakfast ending at 9:00 AM for a Saturday was surprising. We arrived at 8:30 anticipating lots of family. We did not expect to see NO FOOD left. We waited anticipating replacement trays to follow. However while we waited we discovered there were no Coffee Cups. Not even napkins!! All the fruit was gone. No Milk for the cereal. The decafinated coffee was like water!! People politely asked the front desk for refills. Coffee Cups were provided. A small replacement of eggs and sausage was supplied. Thank goodness we were close in line to snag some of those. Only thing left was some white bread slices and ONE waffle machine with a long line of folks waiting to use. No further replacements were provided! I mentioned to the front desk at check out and was told they were doing the best they could Only problem was what I saw was the rest of the staff out smoking in the hall. Needless to say we were very disappointed. I would like a refund for the breakfast part of my stay.

Did the job

Older hotel, but carpets were just replaced, literally that day. Close to the Governors mall, and 10 min from campus. Price was high for the quality, but I realized it was graduation weekend, so I totally understand the price

HORRIBLE

Posted Aug 11, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: This motel needed massive renovations and an exterminator.
The carpet was filthy, the rooms were run down, and my mother woke up to find a roach in the bathroom. The motel hiked the prices up because of graduations at both Florida A&M and FSU, taking advantage of travelers like myself. I am upset that Expedia did not do a better job of providing up to date information so I could have made a better, more informed decision.

This one cover the basics.

There was trash on the floor in two places what look like food containers from previous guest. Mirrors were dirty with streaks from the last cleaning plus covered in dust which indicates these had not been leaned in a while. Old furniture full of scratches and dirty funny smelling rug. Outside hallways from the room to the lobby were stashed with old furniture and rugs. The whole place needs remodeling. We booked for two nights but left after the first one forfeited the cost of the second night. We were fooled by the Best Western logo on this motel. I guess we are used to the Best Western Plus experience on the other side of town.

Paid in full a day before arriving, and the room I booked was not available. After being moved from room to room five times and calling corporate I received the room I reserved. Even the customers before me didn't receive their room. The manager of the hotel is nowhere to be found after efforts have been made to contact them.

Ok hotel

Posted May 26, 2015
For an older facility, it's ok. Stayed there two nights while my daughter attended FSU orientation. For sleeping quarters it's fine. Very dated bathrooms, but pretty clean. My main problem - although I requested non-smoking, the first thing I noticed in the dresser was an ash tray. Room did smell faintly of smoke. Beds are comfortable. Parking is pretty limited but I got a spot both nights.

Nice room for an overnight stay.

We stayed overnight while we were traveling back home from Orlando. It was a nice room for an overnight stay. There were a few places around to get something to eat. The room was very clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. We actually stayed in the same hotel on the way to Orlando and on the way back.
