We stayed and we pay for a deluxe room, they oversold the rooms and we stayed in a regular room. We hear people screaming ALL NIGHT LONG, hitting the doors and kids cried all night. We couldn’t sleep. The costumer service was despicable.

Our toilet got clogged for no reason. Several times we called the lobby to have someone fix it. We did not use the toilet for the night and the next day till checking out. This is super unacceptable. I don’t care if there was a wedding or any other event in the hotel. Maintaining running toilets is #1 priority of a luxurious hotel. I am a Hilton Honors member and I will report this for sure.

Our room was well below Doubletree standards. The desk chair was worn out. Caulking on the bathroom sink was half gone. The shampoo and soap containers in the shower were detached from the wall. The air had been turned off in the room so when we arrived, it was Stuffy.

It is really not good. The Hilton Honors Wifi did not work. The AC was loud. No ice machine on the third floor. Had friends say their floors smelled mildewy. Would not stay again. Better options in town. Expensive valet as well.

My recent stay at DoubleTree Tallahassee fell short of expectations due to notable cleanliness and maintenance issues. Upon check-in, the condition of my room was disappointing, with trash present in the bathroom. This initial impression extended to the public restrooms, which were also unclean and lacked essential amenities like bathroom tissues. Throughout the property, signs of neglect were apparent. Paint scuffs and dirty, broken ceiling tiles were common sights, suggesting a lack of attention to maintenance. Additionally, noticeable holes in the bathroom stall walls detracted from the overall appearance of the hotel. While the DoubleTree Tallahassee may have some positive qualities, such as location or amenities, the cleanliness and maintenance concerns overshadowed the experience. Future guests may want to consider these factors before booking.

It was a beautiful hotel inside and the staff we dealt with was very friendly. Unfortunately our room wasnt properly cleaned and there was trash under the dresser and nightstand. Also hair in the shower.

Decor is horrible. Hired day workers from labor pool to help decorate using a Helen Keller design. Hopelessly outdated. Had to call front desk 2x before they called police to quiet party next door at 3:00AM. No daily service unless request made. Valet too slow. Checkout was slowed due to no one at front desk. C'mon man, do better.

This is a great value for the location but be ready to compromise on the facilities and the staff service. Bedroom door didn’t close well, shampoo bottles attached to shower fell in the middle of the night, lighting is very dim and lightbulbs were missing, mattress had a an imprint in it. The hotel is understaffed and receptionist told us that had she gone on her allowed break we would had no one to check us in…

When we checked in, our toilet was not working in the first room. After leaving the property for an hour upon our return we were told that the problem was fixed, but it was not. The water was turned off in the toilet and nonfunctional. We then moved rooms, and in our new room we did not have toiletries, and had to call down to the front desk to send up some. We also experience the safe not working and had to repeatedly ask for towels in our room. I found housekeeping and she was kind enough to bring me towels and empty my trash, which was requested earlier that day. Being a Hilton Honor's Member, I am shocked about this experience. I would though like to commend the Front Desk for trying to help us out, but it seemed at every turn we experience less than a satisfactory stay.

We enjoyed the location of this property. The staff was very friendly and attentive. But the room was not cleaned well. Holes in the walls. Mold in the shower, also there was excessive noise from what could have been the building heater or the laundry.

The staff were really nice and helpful. The foyer and hallways were nice. The rooms were older. My dresser draw was broken and one was missing a handle. The only lighting in the rooms were 2 older lamps. The decor would be a little girl’s Parisian dream, a bit much for adults.

A pretty good property
Beautiful hotel. Check in was easy, and desk clerk was polite and friendly. Room was ok, a little dated, but comfortable. Disappointed that the Starbucks in the lobby closed permanently. Couldn't get coffee for the drive home, unless I wanted the room coffee. Valet service is a bit pricey, at $36+ tax a night. Overall, a pretty good property.

Terrible service, Room was said to have been ready for me. Bed loosely made (Looked like from the last guest) there were clean bed sheets on the table, dirty linens on the floor. I visited front desk to ask for it to be taken care of, they assured me they would...I came back 4 hours later, still not done. I called front desk... rang and rang and then hung up - did this 3 times. Finally I called from my cell and got through - and they fixed the situation - 6 hours after I checked in! A colleagues entire floor smelt like mildew (could smell it as soon and elevator does opened) with what looked like blood on the floor. Second day I asked a house keeper who was sitting on the bed of a guest room watching TV (across the hall from me) to make up my room - he said it wasn't his room and he didn't know who was responsible for my room. So I said, never mind, can you just give me some clean towels - he said he couldn't and went back to watching TV. A terrible experience - only upside was the bed and pillows were comfortable.

NEVER AGAIN - Tallahassee Doubletree Downtown
Hotel was woefully understaffed and had no rooms ready for check-in at 3:30. More than a dozen others in line with me were turned away and told to come back after the 6:30pm football game and the rooms “should” be ready. She put my name on a list. I then verified the type of room they were assigning me. Despite booking a room with two queens for 4 adults thru Hotels.com, the front desk staff said I booked a room with a single queen and wheelchair accessible. I showed them the email confirmation that I booked two queens in a standard room. Respecting the disabled, I would never book a room intended for their needs. I asked for a manager. The desk clerk said there was no manager on property, as they do not work weekends. Also, the clerk said I would not be given any reduction in my room rate for the hours I was unable to use it because it had not yet been cleaned by their staff. Refusing to accept what I was told, I waited 20 minutes in the lobby. A woman who appeared to be a manager showed up and started assigning rooms.

The property was ok. JC at front desk was awesome. Price way too high for amenities. $15 'included' Breakfast was terrible, ran out of food, and understaffed. We were provided plastic eating utensils and room temp bottled water. Price for parking on top of $500 for one night in a standard room was outrageous. We will have freq6teups to Tallahassee for the next 4 years but this property is probably off the list.

Great location for business at the capitol less expensive before legislative session starts. Some guests parked in two spots which was frustrating but staff helped to resolve the issue.

For what you paid, I felt it was outdated and overpriced. My shower had hair in it - long hair and pubic hair. I was going to sit in a chair outside for my ride and didn't - it was disgusting. I took a picture of it. It should have been white, but it was more of a grey with mildew. I can't recommend this property to anyone. The chairs in the room are not functional and wi-fi was spotty.

The restaurant>> the food is lousy and cold The rooms. there were random hairs in the bed The bathrooms smelled of homeless people You can hear everything going on in the hallways, and all I heard all night were the elevators. The best is they did not clean my room once.. No fresh towels, Nothing. when i went to complain at the desk they apologized yet did nothing about it. Just smiled and told me the manager would be in after the weekend. That was it for me.

Filthy; flooded hallway that smelled HORRIBLE with a fan running for the entire two nights i was there. Pool closed for private event with no notice. No wifi. Dust all over the room. Skimpy, old towels. Smelly dirty carpet in room. Just disgusting. Worst part? For that disgusting experience- $500 PER NIGHT. Unacceptable. Complained to corporate and the hotel mgt and requested a night’s refund because it’s ridiculous i would pay that much for what is a 1 star hotel at best, and all they offered me was a coupon to stay free at another double tree. No thanks- i told them to keep it. I am a loyal Hilton member but not anymore. Such bad customer service and clearly didnt care.

A must stay!
Our stay was awesome. In arrival we noticed how well maintained both the inside and outside of our hotel. The lobby was upscale and impressive. We checkin with ease as our hotel representative was super nice and helpful as this was our first visit to the hotel and area. We chose to due self park in the garage and was able to find a great parking space close to the garage hotel entry door close to elevatos making it a breeze getting our luggage to our room. The roo was very nice with an updated bathroom fresh crisp towels and lux bedding. Checking out was equally easy. I am sorry we did not get to dine in the hotel rooftop restaurant Eve on Adam’s . I am sure the food and view were amazing. I look forward to our next visit. We will stay at this hotel again and will definitely dine at the rooftop restaurant.
