Luxurious accommodations - average customer svc

The front desk person checking me in quoted me a higher price, and then when I asked about the expedia price, she said I would have to book it through them (which I did). But she told me right away that the room choice (which was available to book on my mobile app) was not available (King Bed). I proceeded to book it anyway, and she placed me in a room with 2 queens. When I asked where I could eat close by, she said everything was closed at 10pm (which was not true). She never mentioned The Huddle House which is directly across the street and open until midnight. I had to get back into my car and explore the little town (using my cell phone and GPS) to find out what was open still. There was also a Walmart, Sonic, and one other fast food place open. In a tiny town like Perry with few options, I would think that the front desk staff would be more helpful. It's hard to believe that someone working at this hotel wouldn't be able to share more local information. Otherwise, the room itself was delightful. Thank you!
