Tama Vacation Packages
Many of Western Tokyo’s most popular attractions can be found near to Tama, so it is a convenient place to base yourself. Two of the most interesting places to see are the marvelous Sanrio Puroland and the incredible Tama Zoo. Two other recommended attractions you’ll find close by Tama are Yomiuriland and the Fuda Tenjinsha Shrine.
There are some unique museums, exhibits and venues in and around Tama. There are many excellent places visitors can pay a visit to for an afternoon including the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum in Koganei, the Open-Air Folk House Museum in Kawasaki and the Museum of Japanese Houses.
If the sun is out, follow the lead of the locals who know the area best and make the most of the nearby parks and reserves. There are no shortage of family parks, so take a picnic blanket to the Jindai Botanical Gardens in Tokyo.
If you're a fan of soccer, you’ll enjoy seeing local legends, the Tokyo FC, take to the field in nearby Ajinomoto Stadium, Chofu. On match days the area around the stadium becomes a sea of blue and red, as crowds come together to get behind their home-grown heroes.
Finding somewhere handy to base yourself close to the Tama area is easy. The b Hachioji, the Tachikawa Grand Hotel and the R&B Hotel Hachioji are among the many great places to stay around here.
