Located on a quiet hilltop in Tamarindo with spectacular ocean and forest views, Casa Bambora is a complex/villa just 5 minutes walk from the main strip in Tamarindo where you can find a wide variety of restaurants, stores, nightlife and more and is just 10 minutes walk from world famous Tamarindo beach.

All alone on the 3rd floor here at Casa Bambora, this studio is very private and quiet and is available nightly, weekly or monthly, accommodates 2 people and is equipped with a full kitchen, AC, 32' HD TV with cable, wireless Internet, large bathroom with with large shower and hot water, king size bed and private balcony that wraps around all 4 sides of the room.

Up on the fourth floor of the complex is a shared furnished observation deck with an amazing 360 degree view, great for coffee in the morning while enjoying the spectacular ocean views and wide variety of birds that visit frequently, or a cold drink while enjoying the amazing sunsets over Tamarindo bay!

Down on the first floor is Casa Bambora's bar with a shared fully equipped kitchen and BBQ area, this is where the guests enjoy spending the majority of their time socializing and cooking up the catch of the day, or just relaxing to the soothing sound of the waterfall at the pool which is surrounded by a tropical garden with plenty of hammocks and chairs to lounge around in.

Guests at Casa Bambora also have access to onsite parking and myself and staff here at Casa Bambora will try to make you feel right at home and are happy to give you advice about anything you need to know about the area, best restaurants, tours and places to visit.

Having bought the property in 1992, I was able to have the pick of the best view lots in Tamarindo with the easiest and closest walk to town. Casa Bambora is just high enough to see over the treetops and is one of the only lots in Tamarindo with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Estuary in the Las Baulas National Park as well as spectacular ocean views that span Playa Langosta, Tamarindo and Playa Grande.

If your looking for an affordable place in a tropical paradise with beautiful beaches and great surf, Casa Bambora is a great choice!

Adventures in Tamarindo
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bambora. The views from our wrap around balcony and especially the rooftop were amazing. It was so great to be able to sit on the roof at sunrise and listen to the monkeys and birds, as well as watching sunsets and the night sky. The pool was perfect for a dip and cocktail after a day at the beach. Joey was a great host, and having him onsite was really nice. The walk up and down the hill to town was a little challenging at times, but being so close to the center of everything once you got down the hill was perfect. Our group of gals in our 60's managed it just fine. A couple nights when we dressed for dinner we took an Uber back, which was a quick, easy and inexpensive way to go. Overall it was a fabulous stay!

We loved our stay with Joey at Casa Bambora. It is a beautiful home on one of the tallest spots in the Tamarindo area. There are amazing views from the rooftop patio. Very kind guests and hosts with great common area kitchen and pool. Our room had everything we needed. We loved our time there!

Casa Bambora incredible rooftop views
My experience was great from the start , Joey answered all my many questions very timely and accurately. He was always responding within 30 minutes it seemed. Excellent communication, he also let me bring my dog. He has two cool dogs as well and one is a little more territorial, Joey even went as far as to put his more territorial dog inside his house as to give my dog some space . Was very accommodating and was able to give me an extra night when I asked if I’d be able to stay an additional night . I had the third floor, which had great ocean views of the sunset , and was very big and clean with wrap around balcony with views all around. The shower was big and had plenty of light in the bathroom .When I moved to a different room (2nd floor) for my final additional night , the room was very similar setup to the third floor. The fridge was a little smaller and the room was a little bit tighter with a bit less room , but was still adequate. The shower was a bit smaller too and the bathroom had a good bit less light and the tile in the bathroom was a bit dark so I had problems seeing well in the shower , but all was very clean. The shower could use a light as an improvement.Toilet had to hold the handle down to flush but wasn’t a real issue. Joey was around to chat with and I did so about his time and mine in Costa Rica, he also gave me plenty of space. He has cameras so you can feel safe knowing he can watch cameras and keep the place safe. The pool was nice , waterfall as well(though the waterfall is getting repaired so didn’t run all day.) beautiful gardens and plants , jungle atmosphere! I also used the gas grill twice and cooked big meals in the outdoor kitchen which was great! All in all great experience and I should be returning in August for another stay while in the area in business. Very affordable and a great value. 👍🏼

Perfect getaway
Wow what a great place. The room was cozy and Joey was a perfect host. The pool was so refreshing and really loved the seats at the top of the waterfall. The roof had the best views where many different types of birds came to visit. It was a short drive or walk to the shops, Restaurants, market, and beach. The only thing was that it was difficult to find initially because all the roads are named but none are marked.

The best!
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with unlimited fun and excitement 10 min walk away, this is your spot. This was our 1st visit to Costa Rica and somehow, we lucked out by booking with Joey. The pool and waterfall on site, the common kitchen/BBQ, the clean comfortable rooms, the trail through the jungle as a 10 min walk to town, all of it! Even got an outstanding massage on site for next to nothing! Oh ya, we are going back. Joey even gave great reccomendations for dining, exploring and towns to visit during our stay. And to top it off, we made new friends with his 2 wonderful well behaved dogs. Thank you so much!
