Good Hotel, closed to the USF

Pros: Very close to the USF, where my work was being done. Also a fare price for the room.
Cons: Bathroom and outside all the stairs need some lighting and be cleaner. I felt insecure going up and down in some of them.
Location: University of South Florida, Hospitals, restaurants, Parks
Hotel is good, nice and clean. Bathroom needs some update. Security is also ok, but any body can easily enter the parking area and walk in the rooms are, pools and more. That makes you wonder.

Pros: Separate kids pool, nice lobby and the front desk staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating with requests
Cons: Check-out service was a complete disaster and almost missed our flight
Location: Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo and lots of eating options. Strip mall across the street is good for groceries and items take away by TSA.
Exactly what I expected based on the price and location. Nothing fancy, but the room and amenities were sufficient for a weeks stay.

Paid for but can't check in.

Long story, but GIRL at the front desk was rude, waited for at least 30 minutes to check in while another girl took a LONG reservation over the phone while myself and others just stood there because the person supposed to help her left and went on break. Asked to talk to the manager on duty.. wasn't one. The rooms were remodeled and clean, but smelled of mildew. The pool & little water park was nice, which is what sold me on the hotel originally. The outside around the building was a little rough. However the staff at breakfast were probably the most enjoyable of all the staff at the hotel. All and all it was okay, but probably will not be back for the amount I paid I can stay at a hotel I prefer.

Very basic hotel.

The inner courtyard looks nice but the rest of the hotel is old. Although some effort had definitely been made to update the room it lacked something to make it not feel like a 1960's motel room. at the right price this would be a pretty darn good "budget motel" for a family.

We only stayed one night but my impression was clear - average all the way and jus clean enough. The included breakfast was not worth the effort to go to the line up. I would much rather stay at an Extended Stay fir less.

Location: across the street from a mall
arrived at 2:15, would not let me check in early, had to wait until 4. but the next day i see the same girl let someone check in 2 hours early. everything else ok. breakfast was good, bed and shower was excellent.restaurant was closed for remodeling but there was a TGI friday next door

Dirty walkways

Pros: The outdoor adult pool was beautiful and heated perfect and spotless! The gardens surrounding it were beautiful! Maids did an awesome job daily.
Cons: Heating the kids pool, updating the rooms/replacing the carpets at least.
Location: The MOSI (Science center) down the street was awesome! My kids loved it! Of course Busch Gardens was too!
We stayed for a week. I took a shower then walked with bare feet to the ice machine on an outdoor walkway about 5 rooms away. My feet were BLACK! The hotel room itself was clean but outdated. Not a good room setup. For a room with 2 double beds, it was small. 2 adults and twins 6 year olds made it hard to get by each other. I asked for a suite, but they say all rooms are the same and they didn't have any. The bathroom was a toilet and tub with a door and no vent fan, then a long counter right outside door with only one sink and a mirror. They had an armoire there blocking an entire end of the counter, making it impossible to even allow myself and my 6 year old to brush teeth at the same time. The carpet was old and filthy. The kids pool is NOT heated and freezing! Sure it looks fun with the pirate ship and all, but even my kids do not like to freeze and didn't last long in there, and ended up in the adult pool. They also have a raccoon problem, they visited the trash every night right next to the pool.

Very rundown hotel in bad condition

Pros: Staff was Okay.
Cons: Remodel hotel.
Location: Seemed unsafe area.
When we arrived, the room was not ready. Checkout time is at 4 and checkout at 11am. Rooms still not ready. Posted time for breakfast in room says 10 am. But they closed it at 10:00am. Did not even offer us a banana. The hotel is very rundown and dirty. Broken items around hotel. Hallways very dirty. Shower was clogged up, but late at night we didnt want to have a plummer in the room so we just lived through it. Landscaping was not mulched in years , very unsightly, dear trees and plants . NOthing like the pictures in the expedia Ad. I swear its not the same hotel. The policeman walking around at night made us feel like this is a bad area. We wanted to stay out by the pool the next day, but my wife begged me to leave. Just so NOT Happy.
