Great customer service! Very nice clean room

I stayed in this hotel five years ago. When it came up in my flight/hotel options, it was a no brainer. Excellent staff and the room was not only large but was very comfortable and clean. Thanks for a great experience

Not as good as advertised

Posted Nov 19, 2017
Pros: Food and cleanliness
Cons: The elimination of ROACHES
Location: Location is a bit in the not to good category.
BLUF: ROACHES!!! For a place that serves food, ROACHES are unacceptable!! PERIOD!!

close to airport

Pros: location
stay was okay, but was surprised and dis-appointed that a $250 security deposit was required at check-in, because I booked room through Expedia ( not directly with hotel). No one advised me of this requirement.

We are so sorry to hear you weren't totally satisfied. Unfortunately because Expedia and their partners do not cover incidentals, it's something we have to do to protect ourselves. We hope you understand!

Worst Experience Ever!!!!

Posted Oct 21, 2017
I checked in Wednesday night, October 18, 2017 after a long flight, sometime around midnight. I went to my room (#300) and noticed it was considerably hot and humid in the room. The thermostat would not stay at any cooler setting that was programmed into it. In fact it would pop back up to the higher setting and stay there. I called Calvin, the desk clerk and asked if there was another room available and he not only told there wasn’t, but that he was ‘busy’ and I would have to call him back. I waited a bit to see if the room would cool down but it was getting warmer, so I called him back and he said the air conditioner worked fine and that it was me (a woman), not the air conditioner that was having the issue. He said he would come look at it. He came up about 20 minutes later and started to unplug and then plug the unit back into the outlet. When the temperature continued to get warmer, I explained that I would not be able to stay there and politely asked for a refund while I called around to other hotels. Calvin became UNGLUED, raised his voice to me and told me to call Expedia (they booked the room) then walked away leaving me standing in the hallway. I located another hotel, took my bags downstairs and asked again politely for a refund. He stood at the desk and completely ignored me. I called Expedia and explained the situation. Calvin got on the line and lied, telling Expedia that there was nothing wrong with the air conditioner! I took his name and that of his

A Life Saver

Posted Sep 13, 2017
Pros: comfort and convenience
Cons: not a thing!
We found ourselves stranded in Tampa when our cruise ended early due to hurricane Irma. We felt lucky to get a room for the night, and we were pleasantly surprised at the warm and personal attention we received from the hotel manager She anticipated our needs and took care of us during a trying time . She reall was a Star!

Cockroaches

Posted Sep 9, 2017 on Hotels
Upon checking into our room, my husband found a cockroach in the bathroom. He took a picture and showed it to the front desk staff and we were moved to another room on a different floor. The following night we found another cockroach in the new room so we once again informed staff and were moved to a third room. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, they obviously have a huge bug problem so we refused to eat their free breakfast (can just imagine what's in their kitchen) which then added an extra expense of going out for food.
