Do Not Book!!

Pros: The refrigerator in the room.
Cons: Everything, starting with actually making it smoke-free.
Location: It's about 5min. from USF.
I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The description stated that the hotel was "smoke-free." That was a HUGE LIE! Once the elevator door open...holy Jesus! It smelled terrible!! The elevator seemed as if it was going to get stuck (I used the staircase every time instead). And not just the elevator smelled like smoke, but the second and third floors as well. When one books multiple rooms, I understand that having them side by side is a slim chance. But, at least, I honestly would expect them on the same floor. There was trash in the hallway outside of my room. When I stay at any hotel, I always check EVERYTHING. The bed sheets were not clean on one of the beds. There was hair on them. There was trash under both beds. There were very few channels on the television. The only "interesting" thing on tv, was the news. Also, the only security camera that I saw in the hotel was at the reception. There wasn't even a single camera in the staircases. Someone could commit a crime and get away with it. Not safe. The bottle of water at the vending machine was $2.25. For a dollar more, I can buy a 24 pack of water.

Wouldn't recommend staying here

Checked in and sent up to 3rd floor. First step off the elevator and we were hit with an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Verified that I had checked in to a nonsmoking room...for sure I had. Was not aware of the fact that smoking was allowed on half of the floor obviously causing the whole floor to smell. Next night someone must have been frying food in their room because the smell on the floor was a combo of grease and cigarettes permeating all the way down to the lobby. Was woken up at 2am by my neighboring guest screaming at and hitting his crying children. About 2 hours later (4am) someone decided to start banging on the door across the hall. Asked front desk on 2 separate occasions if they had any other rooms available and was told no. Needless to say, our experience was not a pleasant one and I will never stay here again.

Good location & clean, but needs upgrade.

Pros: location and fridge/freezer
Cons: Needs a new bed and bath/room update. Hotel needs an ice maker.
Having a kitchenette is nice, especially with the fridge & freezer, but w/o any pans, plates or silverware, it's not very helpful. And, no ice maker on the premises which was an inconvenience. Room was clean, but the bed should be replaced and the room, especially the bathroom, needs to be updated. It would be fine if you needed a place to stay and nothing else is available/affordable, but I have stayed in much nicer places for the same price multiple times in the last 4 months in that area. No clock in room and is also missing basics that most newer and updated rooms have, like usb port for charging your phone. Not essential, but would be nice.

The Extended Stay America was disgusting.

It was dirty, unsafe. Way overpriced for the condition of the hotel. The bed was uncomfortable. The only positive thing about this hotel was leaving.
