Hotel is outdated, but that doesn't bother me. Overall my stay was great. Couple problems I had were no coffee maker in room only instant coffee and even though there's a full kitchen we only had 1 fork and a spatula to cook with. I was excited to have a kitchen to cook in while we were in tampa, but you can only do so much with a spatula and a fork.

Old, renovated building in a trendy location but,Posted Sep 2, 2015
Terrible mattress and no hot water in the shower. Spent two sleepless nights so I guess the cold shower helped.

No frills in amazing neighborhoodPosted Aug 18, 2015 on Hotels
I like how parking is free and they offer charging for electric cars. I don't have an electric car, but I like the concept. Rooms are basically small studio apartments with kitchenettes. Not a lot of space and no desk though (at least in my room). The area (Soho section of Hyde Park) is fantastic. Plenty of dining and nightlife options nearby. Also close to pharmacies, banks, Publix (grocery store), and more. I would definitely recommend staying here but expect a no frills experience in a great neighborhood.

This is a great little hotel in a great location (walking distance to interesting restaurants and shops) run by super-friendly people. It's in the middle of renovation toward being more of a boutique hotel and I think it will be an even more awesome place to stay after that's done!

Very under rated.Posted Aug 3, 2015
Great stay. Was in town for 3 days for Comic Con Tampa and the hotel was close to everything and only 7 minute drive from the convention. Staff were nice and escorted us to our room. The room had everything we needed and more. Always had our beds made and house cleaning were on time everyday. There were always Uber drivers at least 5 minutes away. We had a british accented driver that was hilarious. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

if there is not a better deal then book this one..Posted Aug 2, 2015 on Hotels
hotel was old and smell as such; you have to walk up to a second level with your luggage when you arrive already tired!!! beds are built probably in the 1800's. Hot water takes a long time to actually turn hot!!! Take your cell with you because there is no phone service. Everything else, whatever that might be, it's alright. There is cable and free internet connection, that was good!!!

Very nice older propertyPosted Jul 19, 2015 on Hotels
The Hyde park was a vary nice older property in what at first seemed like a residential neighborhood. But on closer look the area is giving wat to commercial as a very nice newer Winn Dixie is less than a block away. Staff was very professional and room while older was clean and comfortable. Upgrades to hotel rooms are supposedly in progress. Would stay there again.
