My review has to be changed to Clarione Pointe due to what Quality Inn did. On day of check in, I got a notification from my bank that a charge was declined. I keep my card locked while I travel until I need to use it as I never know what situation I will be in. Immediately after, I received a call from Quality Inn and I was told they tried to charge my card and it didn’t go through. I explained that she can retry and explained the traveling situation. I wanted over an hour, and decided to relock my card as I assumed they just planned to charge me when I got to the hotel, at this point check in was in less than an hour. I got to the hotel, and was told that they canceled my reservation and were now at capacity. I explained that I didn’t understand why they wouldn’t alert me before canceling, and the worker stated she left a voice mail. I can say with full confidence, I didn’t not receive any other call other than the one I answered, and the worker never once mentioned cancellation. They stated they would place us in a “sister” location which was Clarione Pointe, about 15 minutes away, and stated it would be 2 queen size beds, exactly the same, and the price would be exactly the same. We got to Clarione Pointe, and were told there was no room comp information available. I argued with the guy back and forth and explained the manager at Quality Inn promised everything would be handled, and after 5 minutes or so, he found the reservation.
