NOT IMPRESSED!

Pros: The location was nice. On the water and close to the Amalle Arena. However, it was a struggle to get a room with a water view.
Cons: Service in the restaurant and more careful scrutiny of the rooms.
I expected more from a Westin. I had to call "engineering" to fix 3 things in the room - 1) the thermostat was working; 2) the phone wasn't working; 3) the light fixture in the bathtub was loose and hanging down (a risk of eletrocution if I hadn't noticed it!). Those issues did get fixed. Then the safe wouldn't open when i put in my code, so I had to call "engineering" again! I was virtually ignored in the restaurant at the not inexpensive buffet breakfast. I had to get my own menu, and get up and search for coffee. It happened both mornings I ate there. It was not busy!

Great location, valet parking, nice views from the rooms, great restaurant on the property, lively, easy walk to many events or restaurants, Uber and Lyft.

Everything was great. The AC in the rooms are not up to par and needs to be able to get cold then they do. But all and all it was great, thank you!

Pros: location
Cons: rooms, food, cleanliness, price
Been here several times before-had never been a problem toilet leaked, toilet seat broken,dirty,restaurant (breakfast)out of food, out of utensils(did get comped) was told they were changing owners & undergoing renovations WAIT until they are done

Disappointment for the money

Pros: Valets were fantastic! See above. Restaurant inside hotel was very good and waiters/hostesses all were great.
Cons: See above. Front desk staff's attitude, aptitude and willingness to help. They could all use a course (or several) in customer service.
Location: Great location.
Front desk employees were not friendly and not helpful. My room wasn't ready when I arrived (at 4:30pm). They told me they would hold my bags and take my cell number and call me when it was ready. No call by 6:30pm so I walked back to the hotel and my room was ready. Person that I spoke to at first was no longer there and new person said they didn't know they were supposed to call me. They wouldn't let me earn SPG points b/c I booked through Expedia. They gave me a room right next door to the ice machine (though I requested a quiet room). I heard them give rooms to folks with no reservation, so I know there were other rooms. I had trouble with my Corporate credit card when I checked in and the staff person treated me like I was a deadbeat. Wasn't willing to help me and just said "I need another card". I was so disgusted that when I got my corporate card straightened out, I didn't go back to the desk b/c I didn't want to deal with them. I didn't get the Wifi code and wasn't explained if there was a charge for Wifi. Was not shown where the elevators were, nor was I told to enjoy my stay. Room was okay but out of my window was some roof exhaust system that kept shutting on/off all night. Bathroom counter was cracked, towels looked old as did the bedding. The valets were fantastic! Great personality, smiling/friendly and prompt.

Nice hotel, rooms need updating

Good hotel, if leaving for a cruise. Hotel entrance is very nice, however rooms need updating. Bed really comfortable.

Pros: VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
Cons: THE DECORATION LIKE THE CARPET NEED TO BE CHANGE URGENTLY THE FURNITURES ARE TOO OLD ALL THE BATHROOM WERE DAMAGE

THIS HOTEL COULD BE VERY NICE IF IT WAS RENOVATED THE BEST PART OF THIS HOTEL IT`S THE STAFF

Not your typical Westin hotel experience

The hotel is close to the airport and close to the Florida State fairgrounds where we were going. But it is very dingy and in desperate need of a facelift. The bedding, pillows, carpet in the rooms etc... were all very blah. Kind of disappointing. Usually a Westin smells fresh and clean. Lots of attention to detail. I will say the vallet and daily housekeepers were good. (Although obviously the housekeepers never deep clean) We killed two ear wig type bugs in our room and everything seemed kind of damp and not clean. I ordered room service one night. A well done burger. My burger was burnt on the outside and nearly raw in the middle. They didn't send the condiments I asked for and added onion when I asked for no onion. I received several flyers under the door for pizza delivery but the reviews for those places were terrible...a neighboring hotel refuses to allow one of the places to deliver there due to repeated food poisoning. Breakfast at the hotel was ok. I wouldn't stay there again. I'd rather pay a little more for more amenities and better quality bedding etc... We ate dinner one night at Jackson's Bistro next door. Good food, very slow service. But nice view when dining outside on the patio so we didn't mind the slow service.
