Deception

Posted Apr 2, 2017
I felt like I experienced April Fools Early. I booked this hotel on the 31st last minute forgetting to read the reviews and went through the pictures so it look pretty decent. I arrive in Tampa after a 5 hour drive I approach the front desk and the young was on a personal phone call and very short with me while checking me in. I get my keys go up to my room and it takes me 2 mins to even get in the room . When I get in the beds are nothing like the photo, I want even start on the fridge or the temp of the water (do I insert and eye roll now). This was more like a motel. I've stayed in better hotels for less than the amount I paid for this one. Next spring break I'll just stay at my normal hotel choices and just pay the extra money ...Im glad I only had a one night stay

Inside OK, outside needs work

WiFi wasn't working in my room. Phone inoperative. Room was modern, spacious, and clean. All outside trash containers were overflowing. Hallways cracked and dirty.

My stay was more than expected. I was greeted by Glenda who I made prior contact via phone. Her professional and courteous made my stay enjoyable.

Convenient to parks

Posted Mar 16, 2017
This is motel not hotel. The rooms remain the same throughout, meaning they dont come and clean it daily or give you clean towels. I had ti throw away the garbage each day. The smell in the room is very bad had to go buy febreeze. Yes its cheap cheap but not worth it again. Stay is very good at the front desk.

It was overall clean and convenience to where I need to be. Free breakfast is a plus.

Room was comfortable and clean. However TV did not work and outlet by bathroom did not work. The desk workers were very helpful and respectful but the breakfast attendant was rude and complained the entire time.

Too far off I 75. When we first got parked and going into our room, we encountered some pretty seedy looking people and took everything out of my car because of that. The breakfast was sufficient and the people at the breakfast did not look seedy. That changed our opinion somewhat. The lobby and the grounds looked good and the pool looks very inviting. Back in the day it was probably a very nice hotel

For $78 a night, the hotel was as expected

Posted Mar 8, 2017
The hotel is nicely located- right off I-275 and within 30 minutes of Busch Gardens, Lowry Park Zoo, the Museum of Scince and Industry, and the Florida Aquarium (all things included with the Tampa Bay CityPass). You only get three extremely thin and less than comfortable pillows and one full sized towel, and the king sized bed wasn't as cloud-like as most hotel mattresses (but again- this is a $78/night hotel). The shower didn't have great pressure, and would fluctuate from the right temperature, to cold, to super, scolding hot, but it was always clean. The tv was kind of small, but we were only in the room at night and to get ready in the mornings, so I think we only actually turned the tv on one time. If you want a hot breakfast, don't stay at this hotel. All they have hot is coffee (which is basically just flavored water, but there's good gas station coffee across the street) and a waffle maker. There were also bagels, muffins, yogurt, and cereal, but every morning there was always something missing, whether it be butter or cream cheese, and the ladies working breakfast duty were less than nice about having to replace something. Also, our last night there, my blow dryer ended up blowing the breaker in the bathroom and across one side of the bedroom, but the desk person was super nice, and able to get us another king bed room within a couple minutes so we could move. Overall, not a 5 star hotel, but for 2 college kids on spring break with a limited budget, it was just fine
