Too much money for what it was!

Great location, but a fraction of what a Westin should be. Very basic room...looked like a Holiday Inn inside.

Handy to convention center. Minimal amenities.

Adequate gym if you're interested mainly in cardio and/or upper body upper body. Staff not incredibly knowledgeable about restaurants… and not enthusiastically helpful. Tasty meals and more enthusiastic wait staff. No spa facilities and in three days I never saw an actual cost her and in three days I never saw an actual concierge.

Nice view and great location

The hotel is close to downtown. Moreover, it has great access to museum, stadium, and art gallery. The river side walk near by hotel has very nice view. I believe you will see the best view in Tampa if you stay here.

Old and rundown hotel!

Pros: the bed was comfortable, the bartender was nice
Cons: the hotel needs a massive overhaul,
Location: there was one restaurant in walking distance, and everything else to walk to like the aquarium is a couple miles away
it looks nice from the outside and the curbside staff was ok, the hotel is in desperate need of a makeover, the carpets were stained and dirty everywhere. the plumbing in our room didnt function properly, the toilet didnt flush, the sink or tub didnt drain. when I went to the lobby to complain about the broken plumbing, TV and the freezing "heated" pool, the counter agent said, "at least the elevator worked" no free WiFi, No free breakfast and overall a horrid start to a great vacation...

good hotel

We spent one night only on our way to south Florida but picked this hotel because of the location , and it was great location, walking distance or short drive to Tampa downtow and many places to eat. it has a wonderful location on the harbor and nice view. the reason I didn't like this hotel is because it is outdated and not up to the standards as other Westin hotels I've stayed before

They were short staffed due to low occupancy rate. Overall stay was good considering the price.

Was traveling for business and switched from booked and paid hotel to stay in heavenly bed. Drove an hour out of way total travel time and any issues are quickly addressed by a superior team of management

Harbor Island Hotel

Pros: Fitness Center Jackson's restaurant (next door)
Cons: Needs a makeover!
Disappointed in appearance of hotel. Did not like the decor. The carpeting seemed dirty & outdated. The hallways were always freezing...like walking into a cooler. Hung sign on our door one day so they did not have to clean the room Took it off the next day and no one came to clean or replace our towels The following day we were out of our room from 8 am to 3pm & again walked into a room that hadn't been cleaned. I did notify the desk & it was cleaned at 5pm. I thought rooms had balcony's since it overlooked the river but they did not. This was disappointing. Also wanted to be close to Channelside but it was disappointing as well ...many stores & restaurants were gone! They were supposed to serve complimentary coffee until 11am but most days it was gone by 8:30am. I did enjoy the fitness center. Very clean & great equipment. The other positive was the restaurant right next door called "Jacksons" Great food, service & ambiance!

Nice Hotel, but everything is expensive.

I had a visitor to my room to do some business. Called for a second chair. They told me: We don't do such a think! Also, room service forgot to leave creamer for the coffee maker. I called for some milk, they charged me $9.00 bucks for a glass of milk! Also, breakfast is to expensive.
