Needs updates

We love staying at Doubletree hotels and this was one pretty awful. The hotel and rooms are in serious need of updates. The room was not very clean - stain on sheets, towel had dirt on it, bathtub would not drain. Overall, not a great experience here.

Nice Hotel, surrounded by a lot of neat things

Room was really clean, staff very helpful and great location for amazing food and short drives to various activities

Friendly staff

Pros: The free cookie at the counter Comfortable and cozy bed
Cons: A directory in the room for room service and the front desk - in case someone needs help very early in the morning
Location: Really good restaurants close by (for example: Matoki Sushi) Close to good nightclubs
Very friendly and helpful staff. Coming in around 2 am and hungry, the complimentary cookie was what I needed. Being greeted with smiles by staff also brightened my day.

Horrible experience

Hotel was under construction. Our room was in a hallway that was a complete disaster zone. I'm pretty sure our room was the only one that was not under construction in that hallway. By 7am, on saturday, there was 10 ppl oitside our room tearing things apart. Worst part yet, staff didnt seem to care. No offers for discount, no real apologies for the inconvenience, no vouchers , nothing.

Nice Place

Pros: comfy bed
Cons: bathrooms/shower
Location: close to the amalie and ybor.
they have good rating on Expedia. and the price was good, so i thought i'd book. when we got there, we weren't aware they're renovating, no big deal, we'll go out to get breakfast. Come to find out our room was right next to where the construction workers would be coming in and out of the elevator. and right next to the service elevator for the hotel workers. also, almost busted my butt coming out the shower. no curtain causes the water to come out since its a handicap accessible shower and the little towels they give are not sufficient and no ventilation in the bathroom causing the whole tile floor to be slippery. (mold problem in a few years). the room was nice and clean, and very cold coming in (we love the cold) staff was very nice.

Closed for repairs

When I called the hotel shuttle from the Tampa airport I was told the hotel is closed for the month due to hurricane damage. I was dumbfounded and said I had no idea! They said that Expedia had been notified and should have notified me. I Scrambled to find accommodations and probably won’t use Expedia again. Refund please❗️

Extremely friendly staff, breakfast buffet is well worth attending. Not just some greasy food thrown together.........I'm talking Salmon, berries, oatmeal, yogurt, muffins, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal.............you name it, its there. Rooms are very nice, clean.........hallways spotless. I will be returning..........Great Sports bar right there at the Hotel...........Parking garage if you wish.............This ones a keeper
